For those who failed to read all the posts in the thread, I re-post:

Magic later clarified and singled out Duncan, saying something like Duncan is the best and in a league of his own, then it's KG, then it's Gasol. It's kind of like when people in the 90s talked about who the best player was but left out Jordan because he was the given #1.
Magic corrected himself and said Duncan is the best skilled big man in the game.

LOL at you. Im not butthurt at all i knew this was coming, the only thing i don't look forward to is all my drunk friends talking about the lakers all summer.

How is saying TD is the most skilled being butthurt....the only dumb ones in this thread are the ones claiming paus anywhere near TD career wise. The only time pau has been arguably as good is this year when TD was probably about 60-70% of his normal self.

Yes, they're so butthurt by putting Gasol in the top 3 bigmen in the NBA. Man. You wouldn't believe how butthurt they are.

    Gasol=in passing to Duncan
Gasol better post moves at this point in their careers.
Gasol is a better ball handler as well.

Still, TD is better overall due to his consistent defense and clutch play.
You obviously didn't watch Duncan before he got hurt in February last season. I would say Duncan had just as many post moves after he got hurt. Before that he was hands down a better post player than Gasol, but your a Laker fan think what you want. And even though ball handling is irrelevant for a big man. I don't really know what to look at to determine who is the better ballhandler due to the fact that Gasol never really dribbles the ball. Duncan on the other hand, if you watch his games, tends to dribble through his legs and hesistate on some of his bank shot attempts. I wouldn't agree with your opinion with ballhandling. And passing Tim is probably the best quarterback with the basketball when the double team comes his way, he most often than not always finds the open man. Then again your a laker fan, so you may think different, but don't watch other teams but your beloved lakers.

Exactly Spur fans need l ...many on here say the Laker fans are so defensive about Kobe. But Duncan fans ae just as quick to defend Duncan even when he is getting props.

SOme Spur fans even said they were rooting against Lakers because they didnt want Kobe to tie Duncn in rings even though he is the best center playing power forward in the history of the NBA ...

I actually never felt that KG destroyed Pau in last years finals like most people thought he would.

As soft as most people say Pau is, Dwight or KG hasn't "Destroyed" him like most people thought they would. Dunno, maybe he plays decent individual defence? w/e it is, Pau can stand his own ground, and flop, like Europeans are known 2.

True, but putting Gasol and Garnett in a completely different league then Duncan is just ridiculous.

Duncan is arguably more skilled in the post then either, and certainly much better on D then Gasol
What do you mean arguably? Duncan in the post owns both those guys.

You wanna debate Duncan in the post start bringing up guys like Hakeem.

On D Garnett gets the nod. Post skills? Gasol is every bit as good as TD offensively. Are you not watching the games? He can go left, right, shoot the mid range. I really dont see how you say otgherwise... lets hear the "arguably".
    Are you ing joking?

TD has forgotten half of the post moves he used to have.

Duncan has dominated the post in the NBA for 10 years you twit.

Tell me how many years has Gasol dominated the post? How about zero.

Magic wasnt talking about the past you friggen moron. He was talking about now!

Zero? He looked pretty dominant all year long and throughout the playoffs. I give TD the nod defensively... Offense, its equal. Chew on it first round loser boy.

Nope. Go back and watch Duncan this season before his knee started playing up.

He was dominating and playing better than Pau.

You say Pau is better offensively then why did a gimpy Duncan average more points than him this season? Like I said Tim was well ahead of Pau earlier in the season and looking awesome before his knees started playing up. Pau only just caught up to Tim towards the end of the season when his numbers went way down in the second half, but Tim Duncan still came out ahead of Pau's scoring average

Not even this year was Pau better than Duncan. Chew on that.

Anyway I saw that Magic corrected himself so there is no point arguing is there?

Magic's statement was of course, incorrect. Pau is very skilled, but Blackjack 21 is still, to me, the most skilled big man from top to bottom. When he's 100% he'll on all these cats. The only thing he can't do is outjump them. KG's jumper is sweeter, but when you're talking about total package, center of the franchise... Timmay is still the most skilled. My opinion.
That is a very good take and similar to what I'd say. Great stuff coming from a Laker fan. I guess we need to prop up Kobe a bit in return, but I don't think Kobe needs it.

Garnett has a wider skill set.

But I don't really care if my PF can run a fast break and shoot from the outside.

Duncan is more dominant at what he does.

Gasol learned his lessons from the '08 Finals. No more giving anything away, especially mentally. No more looks of astonishment when banging. Perkins got thru him and made him back down, made him shrug & cowtow. Howard couldn't move him. Howard couldn't get what he wanted. And Gasol? He never said a word.

Dirk is far and away better than Gasol. Gasol might not even be a top 5 pf.

Lakerfan is ing re ed if he thinks Gasol is better than Dirk. If collusion brought Dirk to the Lakers last season, Kobe would have 2 rings without Shaq right now.

C'mon, Mono, Dirk does display quite a bit of Casper in his game during the playoffs. You know it's true, duder. Sure, when he fled Miami the door jam was crowded with other Mavs, but, his shoulders were parallel with the striker.

Gasol the bed 3 straight times in the playoffs.

Bet you can't find more than 8 players all time to avg. 25 and 10 boards in the playoffs.
