lol at Duncan playing months after all of the other "great pf/c"'s regular season had ended for almost every single year since year 1 of his NBA career and still having his regular season stats compared to them.

Duncan is Duncan. It's great for him that the other two Champions, Shaq & Kobe, were complete bags who whined like babies.

I just wanted to post on this thread to show that i was able to read and witness one of the most ridiculously absurd, not to mention, classic threads (what seems like)ever to be opened on ST. I mean, I am def. still somewhat new to this site (started coming on regularly since last fall), but honestly, has there been a thread that tops this one?? I would surely like to see it/them to provide myself with as much entertainment as this.

Tacker.....plagiarism? really, man? ugh...and all just for a basketball forum thread too. pretty low

Also, put youre youtube ballin vids back up, I would like to see them..thanks

    Those arent the real stats.
Tacker was using those stats to "try" to back up his argument, if they weren't real then maybe he should create some that back up his argument better.

    Basketball is a team game.
If the Lakers win the championship...

I'll leave this forum for life.

I am doing this to prove to everyone how much of a non-factor the Lakers are in the playoffs. They haven't accomplished anything. They just want to come out, shoot some hoops, and BS their way to everything. Not going to get it done in the Finals. Orlando will win the championship. There are no All-Stars other than Kobe on this Laker team. Not an intimidating lineup. Just a bunch of a jump shooters who score off Kobe double teams.
    Pussy...

Hey head, Duncan's real numbers up to 2006-07 (Garnett's last in Minnesota) are:

    PPG: 21.8
    REB: 11.9
    FG%: 50.9%
    AST: 3.2
    STL: 0.8
    BLK: 2.5

    Learn some math mother er.
On top of that, it is easy to rack up big stats on teams. That's why KG's stats dropped when he went to Boston.

If you want monster stats, go look at Elvin Hayes during his first 6 seasons.

Another good example is Shareef Abdur-Rahim, he was ahead of Duncan in career points until only a few years ago.

not all but some spurs fans overrate tim duncan:
The only big man who has done more on the basketball court is Jabbar, and maybe Bill Russell (who played against inferior compe ion).

Duncan may not have been as talented as Shaq, Akeem, and Wilt, but he was a better basketball player and more valuable to his team.

Just because I say Tim Duncan is overrated doesnt mean I say he sucks ass , most of these R- s are blowing it out of proportion ..... He is just being given more credit than he deserves. People here are saying he is GOAT PF which is pathetic IMO, there are others that top him. Karl Malone is better than TD statistic wise. He didnt win a le because he faced MJ. Making it in the finals in the 90s is equivalent of winning a le in today's era. Hakeem is another player better than Duncan statistic wise along with Elvin Hayes, Bob Pe , these players are all > Duncan

Karl Malone is better than TD statistic wise.
Dude..you said the same thing about KG...you were wrong then...you're wrong now...

    TD
    Points - 21.4
    Rebounds - 11.7
    Blocks - 2.4

    Malone
    Points - 25
    Rebounds - 10.1
    Blocks - .8

Malone has a small edge on Tim in assists, but that point is moot. Malone himself said that Duncan is the best PF of all time. And Bob Pe and Elvin Hayes are better than Tim? Are you freaking kidding me? Now you're just being ridiculous.

if you're going to back up opinions by saying they're better statwise, have the stats to prove it. Duncan owned Malone...in numbers and on the court.

Karl Malone played for 19 years, I doubt Duncan will maintain those stats through out an 18 year career. Also you are missing other important stats.

    TD (12 year career)
    Points - 21.4
    Rebounds - 11.7
    Blocks - 2.4
    Assists 3.2
    Steals 0.8
    FG% .507

    Malone (18 year career)
    Points - 25
    Rebounds - 10.1
    Blocks - .8
    Assists 3.6
    Steals 1.4
    FG% .516

Good God...if you're going to go by stats, that's just ridiculous. They played at different times against MUCH different compe ion. The bigs today are much more athletic and much better shooters, and MUCH better defenders...please Tacker...give it a rest.

You have to go by stats if you want to compare 2 players. You cant go by mvps and les because those are all TEAM BASED not INDIVIDUAL BASED.

You sir..are an idiot. Why do you get off on trying to find people who you believe are better than Tim Duncan? Seriously dude...go find someone who's interested in talking about the Bulls, because no one is buying anything you have to say about Duncan...or anything else for that matter.

No...Rage because you're an idiot...MVP is not based on the team...this year is the perfect example...LEBRON FREAKING JAMES!!! You said all you had to do was be the best team on the team with the best record and you'd win the MVP, and I showed you several different examples of why that was BS last night. And it takes leadership to win a le..not just the best players..otherwise Detroit wouldn't have beaten LA in 2004. Do you really think you're ahead in this argument? You continue to dig a deeper hole..that's why I said you weren't worth my time. The minute you started saying Bob Pe was better than Tim Duncan, I gave up on you.

Lebron has a ing allstar to support him on his team just like any other elite team in the NBA. Lebron has pretty good teammates actually its just that they are not being utilized correctly. And the Pistons beat L.A because they were purely better, the leadership because if youre saying Kobe and Shaq werent being leaders how the did they win that 3peat????

Soooo...going by your philosophy...since the best player on the best team wins the MVP, Lebron James had a better supporting cast than Kobe Bryant? Please dude...stop talking..I'm serious..everyone is laughing at you.

And I'm talking about 2004 when the Lakers had Shaq, Kobe, Payton, and Malone..they were the more stacked team by a longshot, and lost....it takes LEADERSHIP!! Something Tim has that KG never will have.
