I've avoided all three of TLC's mess o' kids shows as much as humanly possible. There's a level of selfishness in having that many children, especially through the use of fertility drugs and treatments, that annoys me to no end BEFORE even getting into the whoring-out-your-family aspect.

I know this makes me really gay, but I've always been a big fan of Jon & Kate Plus 8. I know they're whoring out their children for money, but whatever. Their little girl Alexis is probably the cutest kid on the planet.

I could give a about their marriage because they both seem like awful people, but I do feel bad for their kids.

I get so tired of people bagging on Kate. Yes, she's sharp and can be shrewish, but ffs, she's running a household of 8 kids + Jon, who refuses to grow up and take responsibility. Talk about whoring the kids out or whatever, but doing the show made affording them possible and made the nice house and their college educations possible. Maybe it's just that I would be a lot like Kate, but how else are you supposed to have order with 8 young children and a husband who refuses to step up and goes through a mid-life crisis at 35 (including going to NY to look for an apartment in Trump Tower that cannot possibly be big enough to house more than 2 kids at a time).

I feel bad for the kids, that the media keeps treating this like a major news story, which is isn't.

Yeah Jon's lazy, some of the time. But Kate's a all the time. Every episode I've seen, she's bagging on him. He tries cooking a meal for her and the kids, she complains about him being in the kitchen. They go out for Halloween, she complains that he walks too fast. If she would take less time complaining about him and all the work she has to do and actually do some of that work, maybe she'd get a breather more often.

Now that she's single, hopefully there's plenty men that haven't seen the show, because it shows what they'd be in for in the long run. I'd be surprised if it wasn't Jon that filed, because if it were me, Kate's backward mullet having ass would've been kicked out a long time ago.

the kids are better off with Jon seriously, immature and all. At least he shows genuine love.

I have no respect for a "mother" who gets a maid sent over (for free) and when the maid leaves goes and inspects her work and then proceeds to complain about dust left over. Be appreciative, !

I have no respect for a "mother" who complains about her son getting gum on his teddy bear or rabbit or something and proceeds to throw it out when it's obvious that the toy is the child's security blanket of sorts!

I have no respect for a "mother" (former nurse?) who complains when her son is vomiting all over the place. And to add to that, she also thinks its a good idea to isolate him from the other kids by leaving him on the cold laundry room floor surrounded by the kids pottys. I think he finally grew a backbone and stepped up to Kate, but to act out the way he did was not good. He's 32, not a 20 yr old.
