    PG- Magic
    SG- Jordan
    SF- Bird
    PF- Malone
    C- Hakeem

    2nd String:

    PG- Stockton
    SG- Kobe
    SF- Pippen
    PF- Barkely
    C- Kareem

The 2nd team could give the 1st team a surprisingly good run for their money.
    Good list EXCEPT ....

Malone is NOT better than Duncan. Stockton is NOT better than Isiah ...and you could argue that Lebron is ALREADY better than Pippen and has accomplished more EXCEPT win a le ...
Dont get me wrong I am no longer a witness ...but he has done more on his own than Pip ...Without Mj pippen has done hardly squart except choke in clutch moments ...

The man was 6'9. New to me but I'll take your word for it.

Just thought he deserved some recognition.

Why would you nominate Worthy if you aren't even sure whether he is a SF or a PF?

My 5 are based on putting together a team that could & would win Championship after Championship after Champuionship...for an eternity or until they hit the big 35.

An argument can be made that another player or two might be better individually at a particular position but, as a team owner/GM/Head Coach I want guys who are proven winners as well as team leaders. And if someone would loan me a couple $Billion$ I would also make the greatest team owner of all time or at the very least I'd have a blast for a year or two trying.

I'll make sure to include his last vital signs, LDL and HDL levels and lastly his BMI reading. Really dude. So I didn't bother to Wiki James. My point only was why no consideration for James. If you don't agree. Don't acknowledge the post.

Finally someone who knows what they are talking about.

Wilt was actually 7'1" but if you saw him you would think he was around 7'4". He always had skinny legs, but he had a huge upper body. Luke Jackson was a team mate of his, Luke was pretty big, around 6'8" and thick, Wilt made him look like nothing.
It just takes common sense. Yeah Chamberlain played against guys who were a little smaller but there's no way anybody else could score 100 like he did. Thats absurd.

I mean at the worst these guys are about as small as those big men you see in the Olympics from Greece and Spain and stuff, and if our big men struggle against them, I don't see why they would all of a sudden dominate like Chamberlain did in his time

What does vital signs, LDL and HDL levels have to do with nominating him as the greatest at a position?

And you have to Wiki James Worthy even though you are a Laker fan? It's like people nominating Albert Einstein as the best biologist of the 20th century, only to find out he was a physicist/mathematician. Einsteins vital signs, LDL and HDL levels have nothing to do with how good a scientist he is.

And no, if I don't agree, I will state that I don't agree. That's the whole point of a forum, isn't it?

I still haven't figured out why you would nominate Worthy as one of the best PF if you don't even know whether he is a PF or SF.

Besides, he is not even the best SF in his draft class.

I hate putting people on pedistals whom I have never seen play a significant amount.

So I am going to limit my selections to people from the 1996 Finals on...

    Kidd
    Jordan
    LeBron
    Duncan
    Shaq

Yeah, I know, not a list that is particularly relevant. I think, based on what I hear, Duncan edges out both Malone and Barkley (and not because of les, just all around). I think Moses Malone deserves some chatter for best center.

Did Oscar or Magic play defense?

Glad to see I'm not the only one who doesn't have Duncan on the all time first team. Outside of being slow, unathletic, terrible 1 on 1 defense (see Amare 40ppg series, not guarding Dirk), and a terrible outside shooter, all he had was good help rotations and a good shot from one spot on the whole floor, the bank shot. Oh, and the uncanny ability to pick up the pussiest whistles after bricking layup after layup. I think TD misses more point blank shots than any "superstar" I've ever seen.

pretty much. I bet you won't agree, but anyone who says Tim gets more than his share of calls is blind. It's quite the opposite, Tim gets hacked or bumped without a call more than any other superstar.

most bigmen that play in the post do. but duncan gets away with his share of fouls as well, such as when he holds his opponents with his hand on their hip, tugging them down so that they dont get a good jump and make it easier to block their shot.

all great bigmen got hacked a fair amount, but also got away with a fair amount. it balances out.
