Good move it's definitely better than doing NOTHING ...But if Celts are healthy are the Cavs better than Boston? If Hedo Signs are they better than Orlando? Either way I like it East is getting stronger ...West just got smaller plus we Only have to hear the Kobe vs Shaq stuff twice a year plus it's mitigated some by Lebron vs. Kobe

Shaq helps Mo williams etc. But This has to be the slowest starting/backup center combo in a long while ...If Im Orlando I run the Cavs ragged and I clog the lane to prevent Lebron drives and in half-court offense more pnr Shaq is even worse at pnr than Wallace but not as bad as "Z"

Shaq actually played pretty well against Howard this past season IIRC. But next year, Shaq will be another year further away from his prime and Howard another year nearer, so Howard should have the upper hand.

Well considering what we gave up to land shaq, it could be worse. Thing is I dont expect it to matter all that much. Shaq isnt a dominating force he once was. He is 37 (will be 38 during the 2009-2010 year). I dont care how motivated he is. The er is 37 years old and slow as . He is a 330 pound version of Z and will get raped by Howard. The guy isnt what he used to be and that is exactly what the Cavs will need out of him if they even want to think about being elite. This move also doesnt help for next summer in terms of convincing lebron to stay.

The Cavs got a little better but not better enough to be called elite.
