The Suns are rebuilding. Ariza wouldnt go there.
The Suns might want to buy-out Tmac who needs a new adjective to describe how done he is.
They might want to start Barbosa at the wing or maybe use all the savings to go after a wing with the MLE.
Trevor Ariza?
The Suns are rebuilding. Ariza wouldnt go there.
If T-Mac is traded no one will buy him out, because of he doesn't play his contract is covered by insurance.
Too bad it's looking like a solo act with Yao's Waltonitis.
It's a hairline fracture on top of his foot. What a coincidence it leaks during trade season. He'll be back to start the season.
barbosa is probobably the worst defender against tony parker
amare is probably the worst defender on duncan
spurs could probably like it ust if houston doesnt bring artest back
Phoenix is whoring out Amare left and right. GS is the Suns' latest john.
link
god sarver and kerr have just absolutely decimated this team in less than 2 years.
Maybe the Sun's magic workers in their training staff will make T-Mac back into the T-Mac of old. It could be the best move for him for his career seeing how incompetent the Rockets Medical and Training staff is.
that deal makes no sense for phx if they are trying to cut payroll.
It does if the Suns are blowing up the team. Word is that nobody wants to stay there. Nash, Barbosa, Amare, Shaq, etc. They are all sick of the management and the travesty that begain with the firing of D'Antoni.
man i am really worried that we will trade brooks away in this deal. granted, i don't think brooks is a starting point guard but that guy can really present some major matchup problems and his defense isn't that bad for being as small as he is. unless morey has some other major point guard lined up then i dunno...
Steve Kerr responds to trade rumors, Nash's contract and draft
by Phoenix Stan on Jun 16, 2009 11:31 AM MDT in Suns News 0 comments
Steve Kerr was on the Doug and Wolf show on Sports 620 KTAR this morning talking about the key Suns issues.
Suns concerned about Blair's knees but they do like him, "he's a good kid"
Kerr thinks Blair's stock is dropping but he will still go in the 1st round but it doesn't sound like the Suns will take him
"If you're going to win, you have to rebound and defend"
Suns have needs at every position given the age of the team's vets
Not ruling out taking a PG at 14 - still going to take the best player available regardless of position
Not sure Robin Lopez is ready to play more then 25 mpg but still like his future
Getting a lot of interest from a lot of teams. Talked to maybe 15 teams but not Cleveland before news came out
Suns still need to get money situation straight. Not championship contenders now so need to look at options
Kerr going to NY to talk to Nash and his agent. Nash wants to here what the Suns plans are
Nash cares about winning and also the "spiritual aspect of the game"
Kerr says that the Suns want assets in return for any draft
Kerr says that the Suns will draft someone and not sell the pick

Pick and Roll - Trade Rumors Edition: Nash to Orlando? Stoudemire to Dallas?
By Steve Fan | January 15th, 2009 3:43 PM |
(Photo: Rob Schumacher/The Arizona Republic) With the NBA trade deadline looming, Mark and I tried to talk some of the trade rumors we heard in the Association’s corridors and give Steve Kerr some bright ideas in the making. Come on Steve, let’s make a deal !
Mark: Steve Nash to Toronto? Sam Smith has made a living out of this type of thing, getting fanbases in a huff and supplying fuel to talk radio hosts everywhere. Doesn’t mean the rumors he’s so fond of throwing at the wall ever stick though. What Sam fails to realize is two (or in this case, three,) can play this game:
Nash/Barnes to the Magic, Nelson/Turkoglu to the Suns
Turkoglu can (and most likely will) opt outof his contract after this season, but provides a veteran presence, a big body, and great touch from the outside for a man of his size in the meantime. Kissing the $6.8 and $12.2 million owed both he and Nash goodbye would free up a great deal of space to continue building around Amare Stoudemire.
Throw in the fact that Jameer Nelson has come into his own this season and may very well be a point guard for years to come in the league, and the Suns would have to be very happy with their haul.
The Magic? They receive a point guard who will get the ball to their deadeye shooters on the perimeter, and to the inside where Orlando’s Superman can do what he does best and dunk on people’s heads.
Everyone wins!
Turns out anyone can put together a trade proposal where the numbers work and the players swapped make at least a little bit of sense for both teams.
Keep on doing what you’re doing, Sam (except this.) It’s worked wonders for you, that’s for sure.
Steve Fan: Let’s try a Sam myself.
The Magic trade makes sense, but I am not going to be the one dealing Steve Nash. I couldn’t, sorry.
Could you name the two teams in the Association in desperate need to shake things up for one last chance at the Championship? How about the Dallas Mavs and your Phoenix Suns.
Both teams proved ready to make moves and with the trade deadline closing in, it’s time to make a deal. So Steve, pick up the phone, call Mr. Cuban.
Stoudemire, Barbosa, Tucker and some cash (needed for cap reason) to Dallas for Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Terry.
Suns would get a perfect forward to play next to Shaq and a back court of J-Rich, Steve Nash and Jason Terry. It will give Phoenix a 2-year window to go for it all.
Suns will never built around Stoudemire, anyway.
Most important Nash would be so happy to have Dirk next to him that he won’t fly to NYC as soon as possible.
I heard rumors about teams working on a Barbosa/Tucker/Hill to Detroit for Rip Hamilton.
We need to talk to Steve Kerr now…so many great ideas.
Wait a second, Let’s the Suns have a Gasol deal. Marc Gasol from Memphis to Phoenix for Robin Lopez and Alando Tucker. I mean, Why Not Us? Gasol to LA for Kwame, Critterton and Co. happened for real.
Yours truly, Steve Fan (on the assist), the Black Jesus Disciple (on the dunk)

rofl at the dallas rumor. that one makes zero sense for both teams. why do these bloggers post absolutely nonsensical ?
fans are fans..they post all kinds of stupid trades. By the way, in a perfect world, we'd get Nash but I didn't say we would get him. I said we needed a premier point guard but I would like to get Nash.
Shaq & Nash Have to Part Ways?
Is it only a matter of time before Shaquille O’Neal leaves the desert? The Arizona Republic thinks so and are stating that Steve Nash may want it too.
Steve Nash met with general manager
Steve Kerr in New York on Thursday, where the point guard made it clear that he wants to be sure about the roster before he sign an extension.
The Republic says, “The problem isn’t a personality clash. It’s that Nash and O’Neal can’t
co-exist on the court. You could not piece together a worse combination
to defend the pick-and-roll, one of the most elementary plays in the
NBA. It’s one of the glaring flaws in this basketball team, and for
that and other reasons, O’Neal must be traded in the coming months.”
Shaquille O’Neal is better off on another team. Cleveland makes a lot of sense because they don’t really run an offense any way. Cavs’ coach Mike Brown says, “Give the ball to LeBron and hope things work out.” Shaq would give some physicality to the team. If the Suns want to keep Nash, who could leave for New York next season, they better figure something out.

Sounds like Nash is only sticking around if Kerr makes the right moves.
NO f'in way the Mavs would ever do that..Do these people even follow or watch basketball
There is now a rumor that GS and Suns are talking...Amare for #7 pick and Andris Biedrins
the dallas trade would probably not happened or they would porbaly go back as the worst defensive team in the league if they probaly are not already but suns would be very offenseive minded and could have a chance to be the old outscore you suns.
orlando would be stupid to do that trade jammer is good and turkaglu is still a damn good shooter, nash has had his best years behind him he's is nothing but a backup to a good team and a 3rd option on a bad team, and barnes is kinda garbage had his best years with the warriors.
i hope that happens anything not going to houston sounds good to me sorry rockets i like yall but no way yall trade stacy mcgrady for a good offensive player![]()
Stoudamire and the number 7 pick for Biedrins isn't as good as the
Stoudamire/Barbosa for Landry/Brooks/T-Mac
T-Mac's expiring is huge.
