Don't the Spurs try to trade into the first round every year however?
I don't see how this year is any different than others.
Not sure where to put this but I guess I'll put it here:
Wonder who the Spurs are targeting.
Hmmm . . .

My gut says Casspi...but are any of those picks high enough to get him?
Apparently the lakers just sold #29 to New York.
I have a feeling that a fair number of late first round picks will be sold in this draft. It's a twofer for a team worried about its budget...they get cash and they get rid of a guaranteed contract.
Thanks timvp. Fantastic breakdown as always. It makes the night even more fun.![]()
thanks for the cheat sheet!
wish we have a fantasy night
I always get excited about the draft, even though its the second round.![]()
I think Mills would be an excellent choice. He is ready to play now and he will keep defenses on their heels when TP comes out.
Edit: Whether it is Mills or not, I think the Spurs can address their back up point guard position in this draft easier than any others and I think they will.
Edit #2: I also think Hill will be traded.
i agree with Mills, but I don't see the spurs trading Hill. i think Pop likes him and that he's gonna be a big role player next season.
but if they do, then IMO it would be a huge mistake.
Thanks for making me feel like an old lady, timvp.
And thank you for the great Cheat Sheet. I haven't kept up with anything recently and this helped me a ton.
Get this man some coffee.![]()
Or a trip to the boneyard
Nice write up.
Tony Gaffney is my pick for deepest sleeper in the draft this year. If he's available at 53, I hope the Spurs take a chance on him.
I don't give a if it's another 2nd round pick, if the spurs can unload on Bonner, then call it a draft!!![]()
Nice analysis.
It will be a crazy draft.
Mason, Bonner, and picks/cash for Minny's 5 or 6?
Just curious why Minnesota would do that...
They'd probably turn that down for 18 unless the Spurs took back a bad contract.
Not to nitpick you but I think this is 11th annualBut since you only have do entation for nine years, I guess that's okay.
Good point. I might have to dig to see if I can find older ones.
The only one I can remember quick off hand is the year JJ Barea was predicted to be drafted by the Spurs![]()
This Marcus Thornton kid must be one bad mofo if he's going 26 to Chicago then 41 to the Bucks. That's some f'n talent right there!
