I'm here. A little depressed, as one of my Aunts died today. She was sick for awhile so I am not surprised but now I have this weird need to go do something, but there is nothing to do so I am here on ST trying to keep my mind off of it. If that makes sense. Very weird day.

Well, I was looking at Priceline today....I might be able to swing it for about $200 which is outstanding this close to the flight date. Who knows, but I have to win first.

Someone just tried to break into the house I live in. Just a few hours ago in broad daylight. People are so bold.

My roommate and I are both at work. Her son's babysitter ( she is in her 20's) was there and had to call the cops.

Thank God everyone is okay and nothing was damaged. Hopefully they catch the guy.

Our neighborhood was struck again.

Tonight I came home from dinner with a friend and saw the police at the duplex next to mine. One half of the duplex is empty.

My landlord was standing there and he came and told me what had happened.

Apparently someone had called for pizza delivery and had given the address of the vacant duplex.
When the pizza guy arrived there was a man standing outside waiting for him.
The pizza guy thought guy was just hanging out waiting for his pizza, but the real reason is because he did not live there and so had no key.
The pizza guy approached the porch where the man was. (This was around 7 so it was still light out.)

When the pizza guy went to hand the man the pizza, the man pulled a gun on the pizza guy and stole all the money the pizza guy had on him.
The pizza guy was a young, small built kid who is a freshman in college at oldest, judging by his looks.

The poor pizza kid was so shaken up. The thief ran off. A man and his son who were walking saw the guy run off and helped out the pizza guy.

Police were all up and down our streets for an hour but found no one.
I told the police about the incident yesterday where our house was targeted. The investigative report was very caring although there was nothing she could really do for us other than take our reports.

I am so glad I am moving soon- although this is the first trouble I've ever had here.
