Well, any number except a certain group of six...........
too bad we retired avery's number.
i would have told him to pick #6 to wear![]()
I would have preferred 66 or 10![]()
Tell him to make the team first....
well..of course.That's obvious.
I was hoping he would've wanted 33.
Would've been a good fit.
Did someone piss in your cheerios or something?
He wants to start from scratch. ha
Are you taking female hormones??
Who decides about these numbers anyway?
You must be, cause you've been doing nothing but ing about these guys..
00 is retired, so does 00 = 0?
IMO 0 is a different number than 00.
Yeah, it's different except in math. 00 = 0
It's a jersey.
Ohhh, we're talking about a jersey! Now I see.
but seriously, I'm not arguing for nor against it. I'm just putting it out there.
It should be like the NFL, where rookies wear crazy numbers like WRs wearing 19. He should be given 84.
He should wear the number fish.
Baseball is the same way.
Rookies and prospects get 60s through the 80s![]()
How about take a page from the Coyote and go with
0!
The Spurs shoulda NEVER done that!!

Good question. I've never seen a player with "0" and "00" on the same team. Not sure if it's ever happened.
If they're considered different by league standards, fine. If not, dude will have to try and sweet talk Johnny Moore for permission. At least I think that's how it works. Pretty sure the player/coach/etc. whose number is retired can give the okay for another player to wear it.
For example, Rod Strickland, Derek Anderson, Jarrett Jack and Ike Diogu have all had to get permission for Larry Weinberg to wear #1 for the Blazers.
(Larry Weinberg - Trail Blazers' co-founder and former team president. #1 was retired by the team in his honor.)
