btw, we had the kids' tub reglazed by miraclemethod.com and I am more than pleased with the outcome. For some reason, whoever lived here first had a beige plastic tub put in. We had it redone in a white glaze and it looks great. Really had toyed with the idea of replacing it, but that would have been $$$ I wasn't willing or was necessary to spend. We also put the dark shower fixtures, which I'm sure I'll regret eventually!!

Yay! Home improvements! We're in the process of doing some stuff now. We've updated the 1/2 bath and have updated 1/2 of the kids' bathroom. Just finding the time to finish the other half (vacation and hubby busy). I can't wait to get rid of the carpet, but the kitchen counter tops come first ( I still have mauve formica. Fugly, but are in great shape). Problem is, my husband thinks he's got time to do the floors himself. Um, yeah. Anyway, we'll get the house pulled together in 5 years and then we'll move!

Here's the 1/2 bath. I heart my faucet so, but damn does it show water stains, not to mention limescale. I will only use vinegar to clean it.

thanks! I really wanted a vanity that was bigger for storage as we only had a pedestal sink in there before, but it was too large for the space. The lame thing was that it came with a shelf (removable) which we can't use because of the pipes. D'oh! I just painted the mirror. It was originally gold and I painted it black and you can see some of the gold coming through. It really ties in with the fixtures.

I think that faucet cost almost as much as the vanity! Faucets ain't cheap!

I hope your doing better. And please tell me you have top of the line Security this time you lost all your stuff in that last break in. Every time I replace the cpu fan in my 1998 900 mhz HP I think about that sweet PC you had stolen. I hope there wasn't anything sexual on your old HD we might see on TMZ's website one day!

Nice floors remember water is the enemy all it takes is one small water leak to buckle and warp those boards. Get flood insurance.

Unfortunately I surrendered all that art to MOCA as part of a deal to set me up in the BROOKLYN INTERNATIONALE. Most of those art prints were just practice ones I was having fun with. I had no idea once I made a portfolio i wouldn't be able to edit the files later so the best is still on my HD.

If you pay for the canvasing and framing I will let you have one for free. I donate most of my anyway. Go here on the prices watch out the larger you go the more they charge.

You need to go for it! those people are hurting for anything original. I have seen art sell that wouldn't even make it on most photo shop websites. they have all kinds of categories. Photo.hand painted.oil.water, charcoal.prints computer prints, etc...

Try and enter the BROOKLYN INTERNATIONALE

You get exposure. look at some of the cheesy entries.









They have the nerve to call that art? As soon as I get my 125.00 entry fee paid I am sending in a killer image that will blow them away.

The folks at Photoshopcontest.com like to a lot. bottom-line you put something on the www its gone baby gone.For some reason people today still don't get it. Many of the moderators are Aussie or from Canada they don't understand sarcasm and have a short fuse like RuffnReadyozstyle.
Its true I have been banned twice.

I lost about 8 art prints to that site but to me, they are really worthless without my signature.

We tore out our carpet a few years ago and had some vato put in tile and it came out great. Now we are going to do the bedrooms.

But are you keeping the cabinets the same color? I'd go darker and add a white marble/granite countertop. And get some hardware for those cabinets.

Another option which I really like instead of carpet for bedrooms is cork. Soft and unexpectedly warm. Only problem I've seen with it is that it will fade/spot if in direct sunlight for most of the day.

I have about 8 different projects half done. I re-did my fireplace last winter and never finished the hearth. Some day.
