Yeah I checked the last couple weeks and he's still better than anything they've got.
I'm thinking more and more every day Andrus might've been rushed.
Really? Why dont you check Hank's stats before you make a statement like that. He is hitting .238 on the season and .182 in June with 2 HR and 4 RBI's and an OBP of .258
This isnt 2005 anymore its 2009![]()

Hard to hit a multi run homer leading off an inning.
But its true, Murphy can't hit with guys on base.
The turning point or shoudl I say end of the game was him coming up with Kins and Young on no one out and he pops up literally the first pitch. You could feel the air just go right out of the stadium and then Byrd a couple pitches later grounds into a double play.
IMO, they need Hamilton back obviously, but they need to make a trade.
Their hitting is VERY weak outside of Young, Hamilton and Kinsler.
In the next week or so they need to make that trade or they are gonna lose wayyyy too much ground to Anaheim and be out of the race.
I am going tonight. I will make the difference. I'm going to get a old fashion wave started and cheer the Rangers to victory!!! Fans make the difference.
Byrd is on fire tonight. 8-3 now, let's please not blow this.
Elvis is a machine on the bases tonight! He might tie or even break the Rangers record for stolen bases in a game. He has four so far.
Yeah..this will help a lot if we can hold this...get this one and then tomorrow, and all of a sudden we're only a half game back...and then we'll hopefully get Josh back next week.
Tomorrow is gonna be a good SP matchup with Weaver vs Millwood.
We never can make it easy can we?
no...wouldn't be Rangers baseball if it was.
Thank god, finally. Okay Millwood, git r dun tomorrow!!!!!
We're back. Get it done tommorow Millwood!
EDIT: I just copied the post ahead of me. ha
Damn right...one more and we're a half game back. Maybe this will get THEM on a losing streak for once.
Weaver is tough, hopefully millwood can keep the Halos down bc we might be able to only score a few runs off Weaver. We need to get his pitch count up so we can get to the bullpen
4-1 against the Angels, hopefully 5-1, there's no way they take the division if we dominate the head 2 head like we have
You Ranger fans can thank me for tonights game. You are welcome.
We still have the play them 13 more times after tonight, so as long as we stay within striking distance and keep playing them well, we will have a chance at this thing until the end
Where can I get you season tickets?
That game had to be a blast to be at with Byrd, Nelly and Murph goin yard.
Because I'm here in SoCal I'm forced thanks to MLB and DirecTV to watch the Angel's broadcast wich is annoying and just painfull, BUT, they mentioned something interesting that supposedly Cliff Lee is gonna become available and that the Rangers have inquired about him already.
If they could get Cliff Lee and a bat, I'd feel fantastic about this team's chances at postseason play.
It is highly unlikely that the Rangers add any payroll...JD has already stated that any improvements will likely be done within, hence moving Feliz to the bullpen.
We can thank Tom Hicks for his bad investments as to why the GM cant go out and spend money or acquire talent
I have to say it was the best game I ever been to. My daughter is 6,neice 12,nephew 9. My sister's kids have never been to a game before. Down from Virginia. We had commsioner box seats, front row along 3rd base. Chone Friggins of the Angels walked up 5 minutes before game and gave my daughter a ball then Torii Hunter signed it. My nephew had a ball there and Bobby Abreau and Torii Hunter signed his ball. Durning the game Michael Young caught a foul over my nephew's head. His glove was under Youngs glove if he missed it. For a split second I thought of Bartman. Wished I Tivo'd game. Guys next to us were in the club drinking some beers and when they came back to the seats they said we made the TV. The fireworks after each homerun made all the kids jump up and down. We left in 8th inning. We stayed at the Sheraton next to the park. Went swimming ad watched a movie from the pool. Kind of cool. Earlier that day we were at Six Flags. Great day!!!
Great game by Millwood so far. The dude should be an all-star.
