Seriously, are you someone's troll? You're just terrible, man.
Your going to have to make the playoffs for the spurs to even consider fearing the mavs.![]()

I just hope that if we can't find deals that turn us into contenders we just dismantle the team. I enjoyed the end of last year but winning 45-50 games and getting a 6-8 seed for a 3rd straight year w/ a veteran group of guys just isn't very fun.
My earlier stance was I'd rather have such a year as to block NJ from getting a high draft pick, but now I just don't give a .
Anyone who thinks the Mavs aren't trying to make moves are dumb though, and unless you've tapped into the phonelines aren't really in a position to criticize their inactivity thus far. It's July people.
Donnie's big move is coming...Mavs have contacted former SMU standout Quinton Ross

It appears the Mavericks also already have touched base with Quinton Ross, the former SMU and Kimball High standout. The 6-6 swingman played for Memphis last season and spent four years with the Clippers before that. He's a career 4.6-point scorer.
Well, for starters, it looks like they're going to resign Kidd. As for Gortat, a 24 year old two-way center that has put up a double-double in every career start, averaged a double-double anytime he gets more than 20 minutes a game...by all accounts a hard worker in Orlando, thus negating the potential that he is a contract year ho? Who should we give our MLE to? 36 year old Sheed? The more I think about it, the more I really like the Gortat signing. Hardly sufficient for what this team's aspirations are, but a solid, solid move in the right direction.
They're adding Quentin Ross too. For what they'll pay him, I love that move too. Another solid addition to the rotation: good perimeter defender, when we've gotten torched for years by opposing guards, and he shoots a good % from 3. Another solid move.
There are a number of attractive options for that Stack/Damp combo. The Pistons just signed Gordon, Hamilton is 31 and I believe has 4 years left on his deal. Detroit is really thin in their frontcourt as it is, and they're expected to lose Sheed. Dampier has one year left on his contract for all intents and purposes, and he gives them size, defense and another body for the depth chart. How do you feel about Damp to Detroit for Hamilton and something else? And you still have Stack's contract to land another piece? Then you have a number of trading deadline veteran buyout guys to add to your rotation in February?
If the Mavs have indeed already gotten Kidd to recommit and added Gortat/Ross,that makes me optimistic that they will handle the Stack/Damp trading chips wisely.
Don't we kinda need Damp for frontcourt depth assuming Bass doesn't come back?
Also can someone tell tha motha in GHAZ if Caron motha in Butler is on the market!?
edit: hypothetically if damp/rip happened then stack could still be used to shore up the frontcourt i guess, so nvm!

What's wrong with using your LLE on a guy who is a good perimeter defender and shots 38-42% from 3-pt land? Hmm?
