he would be an upgrade over Ariza, obviously . Lakers would upgrade their already championship team.

i personally think he will end up staying in H-town. i think the madness over there will disipate. Houston almost beat LA, McGrady is coming back, and Yao will be back eventually in the 2nd half. I think he'll sign a 1-year deal if it's w/ Houston.
i think Ron will ultiamtely follow Lebron to NY though, which is why it hink he'll stay loyal to Houston for only a year.

Artest's Return to Rockets Unlikely

HOUSTON - NBA sources told FOX 26 Sports Wednesday it is unlikely free agent forward Ron Artest will return to the Houston Rockets.
League sources told FOX 26 the Rockets would be willing to offer Artest a one-year contract at best. The sources said because of that the chances of Artest resigning with Houston are remote.
Artest's agent, David Bauman, who has not been available for comment, said Tuesday Artest's first preference is to return to the Rockets. However, if that was not possible, Artest wanted to play for a team that will compete for a championship.
Rockets general manager Daryl Morey has not been available for comment for this story.
The Rockets acquired Artest in a trade with Sacramento last July.
In his only season with Houston Artest averaged 17.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.3. assists, and 1.52 steals per game.

I hope he goes to the Lakers so that the Lakers will have two head-cases instead of one.

Artest is a blackhole on offense. Ball goes into him and never comes out. He's a chucker from three point land. Sometimes he's on and other times, he flat out sucks going 2-14 or 3-15 from 3 pt range. He's been known to jack up 20 shots and hit 15 percent.
