Yeah the things holding me back are:

1. leaving my friends here.
2. my trips to see the spurs during the week wouldnt happen (although I didnt do it that much anyways)
3. My trips to Houston would be limited as well
4. I started "talking" to my ex in Houston again. I dont know where things are headed but if I move to the valley that might pretty much end it again.

Flo I am comfortable here and thats why I think I need to move on.

If it were me I would probably move on. The buying the house thing would be the icing on the cake for me. You can meet new tail down in the Valley I'm sure. lol

that guy i didn't notate in the flowchart. he came, no pun intended, in between her having the second kid with the first baby's daddy. on a side note, her friend that she brought to the party apparently banged another friend of mine later on that night approximately 2 weeks before her wedding.

I have a huge decision to make. I just got a job offer down in the valley. The pay is pretty much the same as im making here but its a better opportunity. Its cheaper to live in the valley and I would be close to my parents who arent getting any younger. A lot of my friends moved back down there and I think Austin has run its course on me. Plus I wouldnt have to drive 30 miles to work one way each day. What do you guys think?

Well I would never move near my parents/family unless it was an emergency. My parents are getting older but they are healthy and still quite mobile. But I just don't need to be any nearer to the drama that comes with my parents/extended family. If your family isn't like that then you should consider it.

Honestly I left the valley when I was 22 and all about the party and banging women. That all changed when I started slowing down around 26 (the partying at least hahaha). Ok well the REAL reason I left was cause I ran away from my ex. I was in love with her and I had gotten dumped months before the opp. to move up here came up. I graduated from college and the very next day I was offered an internship in Austin so I took it. Little did I know that stupid was going to follow me up here and we ended up back and forth for the next 6 years and she now lives in San Antonio.

Well if banging and partying were the main reason you left and you are ready to live without so much of it, then do it. But if there are other reasons, like I've heard from others, i.e. stunted professional/social growth of the area, depressing poverty, etc. that probably hasn't changed. But I do know how important living near the beach is for you Valley Boys!

Well its not that bad and its the fastest growing area in the US. The partying and banging didnt start till I got here. I was in a relationship 2 years before I moved and I was whooped so I unwinded when I moved. This job would be in Brownsville but I would ideally like to move to McAllen (If I end up back in the valley).

Never bought a house. Its amazing cause a nice 300,000 home up here you can get for like 80,000 down there.
