I wasn't wrong. The Lakers didn't have to part with Ariza to get Artest.

If Ariza goes to the Rockets he would be going for the MLE...same as the Lakers were offering. Lakers could have offered him more, even the $8 million he wanted.

I said it's up to Buss to offer more, he didn't.

Ariza decided to take the MLE in Houston, Buss didn't up his offer.

Nothing wrong with hoping. It was a longshot, doable depending on Buss' money and certainly none of it was factually wrong.

I told some dumb on clutch fans that Artest was NOT after the biggest offer. Today Artest comes out and says he would play for free. He wanted to go to LA and probably wished he'd gone to LA last year. He hopes to ride Kobe and Jax to a ring.

It's always nice hoping, oh well, artest swap for ariza should make things interesting at least. And yea someone else said they wonder how artest is going to take kobes yelling, could be some fireworks, probably work out fine, but once artest reaches a certain boiling point there's no stopping him-he hasn't let it out for awhile but it's in there.
