Christ, will you Spurs fans ever just let that .4 Event go? It's over already. And in the end we didn't get the ring that year. Sure, you didn't either, and sure we got four rings in the decade, but, this continuous self flaggelation you guys do over this .4 Fiasco is just pitiful.
Spurs fan never lets go. Instead they continuously whine, spouting boring excuses about their team's past failure when facing the Lakers in the playoffs. I guess it's that insecurity about how their team will never be looked at as a real dynasty since they repeatably failed to repeat as NBA champions.

When history looks back, they'll remember Shaq and Kobe. The three-peat and the reemergence of yet another Lakers dynasty. No one will care about San Antonio's fluke les during a few LAL down years. Your Team of the Decade, the Los Angeles Lakers.

Good luck getting to post 100. You get a prize. Actually you don't.

    Again, 21_Blessings,

Like most fans (including Spurs fans)...you don't tell the whole story.

When an organzation has won 4 les in the last 10 years they are not fluke les. You can say the Miami Heat championship in 2006...was a more of a fluke.

The Spurs have won the most games in the regular season in this decade and made playoffs in 12 straight years. Only getting knock out of the first round twice.

The Lakers were knocked out the first round three times.

Both teams have an argument for team of the decade. Again....I know you are blinded by your purple-and-gold sunglasses......but to have both teams can make a legit argument about the team of the decade and it shows there's no fluke from the Spurs end of the equation.

I respect the Lakers success.....and history will show the Spurs being one of the best during this era and TD will go down as one of the greatest PF to ever play basketball!!

    Let's have some context....please!!

Actually.....this Spurs fan is not insecure by winning not back-to-back les.

The Spurs have won 3 of the last 6 les. They are multiple champions no matter how you put it.

I actually think that argument is silly!!

If the only comeback is the Spurs haven't won their les in a row.....I just laugh!!!

Those les in 03, 05, and 07 count just like the Lakers les in 00,01,02!!

If winning championships were so easy.....the Lakers would all the les in this decade. Hmmm.....it been seven years since the Lakers won a championship. I bet Kobe will cherish all four of his rings even though he didn't get four in a row.

Again..people don't like to tell the whole story!!

Cavs added Shaq and will add some wing depth this week. They gunna be hitting 73 after 66 last year.

I'll be throwing a mad party but I'll come on ST and post about how good it was to win 73.

Can the Lakers win 72? Of course thy won't have a problem steam rolling SA in the playoffs yet again, then curb stomping LeShaq in the finals.

Artest is pretty durable he'll play big minutes which will keep Luke off the court. Kobe already knows how to pace himself.

I'm thinking 72 is in reach if Bynum can avoid flying Kobes at his knee. That way Pau won't have to play 36+ a night like last season.
    theoretically adding artest sounds great

in actuality he's bound to blow up and do something stupid. he was isolated in houston. he's going to do something stupid in LA where temptation is everywhere.

laker fans better pray they hold on to phil jackson

    .

Shaq will play about 60 games while giving a piss poor effort and he'll miss all the back to backs. Cavs traded away all their depth.

Meanwhile, the Lakers won 65 games last season without breaking a sweat. That was with Bynum missing nearly half the season and Luke Walton/Radmanovic starting over 60 games.

i hate to say this Spur Fans, but you guys have a giant case of Napoleon syndrome, if Dallas can knock you out of the first round with their worst team in years, then your best bet of a series with the Lakers is simply avoiding a sweep

maybe some spurs fans wont let it go, but I could care less, it not like the spurs only and only chance at winning a le was ruined by that, they won before and after that, including 2 that went through the lakers

Why are you all bashing this laker fan for being a total idiot????

72 wins is totally possible for this team

Now if he said they were going to go 88-0 I would say he was a total idiot!

I dont see artest and kobe fight on court but I do artest and bynum holding up a 7-11!

As for the topic, i think it is insight. The lakers just won 65 with Bynum essentially non existent during the season. Add a healthy and improved Bynum+ Ron Artest and the lakers could surpass 72.

Man, 21_Blessings really knows his basketball. Artest is indeed perfect for the triangle. The triangle is designed to emphasize holding the ball out top, letting the shot clock run down to 5 seconds, then putting one's head down and charging into the lane like a bull. That's why they call it the "triangle" -- it refers to the pointy tips of the bull's horns.

He is talking about his skill set.. Artest's skill set is perfect for the triangle.
