Could be that she was hyperventilating and was suffering from oxygen deprivation...probably should have had a breathalyzer on standby or something.
    No, that's not it.

She just didn't do that well with just the notes she had with her. It's not easy.

Could also be that you are tatooed ass Democrat incapable of seeing anything without a slant, even if it means ignoraning the obvious to justify that slant.

But make no mistake about, it is a slant that sees certain things and either completely ignores or is totally oblivious to certain other things.

That's exactly what it is, Chump.

No, it was just a pretty awkward press conference.

    Did you even see it?

You surely may. With my blessings. Steal it, use it often. Show how clever you are.

Leaving the governorship to run full time for president isn't a good political move. If she's just fed up with politics in general and wants a break from public life, that's understandable.

What would have made sense politically (assuming she is going to run for president) is to remain as governor and then run for Murkowski's Senate seat in 2010. If she won that, then she would have raised her visibility in DC and perhaps positioned herself to run for the 2012 nomination....or perhaps 2016.

    So you didn't watch it.

    Cool.

    No problem.

Trust me then, it wasn't the smoothest in the history of politics.

eh? This should make it easier for Jindal to wrap up the primary earlier and reduce the influence of the social conservatives.

Not necessarily. There's actually some good shotgun analysis going on Fox with Varney asking for reactions in rapid succession.

Is this same group of Republicans that does nothing but and whine? If so em....they didn't do anything to win the last election.

Right, and Palin is their candidate.

That's what I thought. Stepping down will lead to the opposite of what she says she wants to avoid. A media scrum.

Maybe she's aching for a return to politics as usual, first-person shooter style.

It will put the focus back on her family -- perhaps more respectfully this time, perhaps not -- now that she is out of office.

It's way too soon to come out for 2012. Palin would have done better to stay governor, as you pointed out. Now she will have to answer more questions about why she quit.

Maybe she couldn't handle the pressure.

Of course, she could have used this opportunity to bemoan the state of politics in the US and the extraordinary attacks on her family by every half-wit with a wifi connection. Within 48 hours of the announcement of her candidacy every little piece of dirt in her family's history was front page news. But that's par for the course.

Had Palin been a left wing politician then she would have been the Joan of Arc heroine who took on a corrupt party establishment and Big Oil. Instead what was deemed important was whether her or her daughter gave birth to a baby, all because she was deemed to be unsympathetic to whatever leftist cause du jour. Oddly enough, she had the same position on gay marriage as her opponents.
