Everyone seems to be confused on the "getting younger" thing. The players have to be good. You can get plenty of players who are young, but will they make your team better?
You want to get young and talented. Not just young.

Davis is GREAT idea for the Spurs: 6-9 (in shoes predraft), soft touch, can shoot all day with Tony and Manu running pick and roll, 285 so Gasol or Bynum are NOT backing back him down, very agile and hedges pick and rolls with quick guards, clutch shooting and not afraid of the moment, proven in the playoffs, actually fights for post position and only 23 for the MKE?!?

What a joke of a thread. Big baby? GTFO. There's definitely a balance between young and old. A thing called good. I dont care how young or old you go, doesn't matter for one year, what matters is if they can play. I'm not going to question the addition of Davis to our roster (IF it happens). A big body, young, talented, lots of upside (we think). What I question is using the MLE on him and how will we fill the other holes on our roster? If we are going to depend on Ian and Haislip...that is shakier than when we originally went in with Elson and Butler. I like the youth and athletisism...what I don't like is the "unproven" production and experience. If we are going all out to get another le with and for Tim (Jefferson trade) in the next 2 years, this possible move puzzles me a bit.
I'm sure more to come, but Blair then Big Baby? Taco Cabana must be salivating about these promising spokesmen.
Or at least take some of his DNA for cloning!
