Spurs were said to be interested in him but the recovery of his ACL surgery took more time than expected. He played some games in D-League with the D-Fenders in late March/early April but he wasn't at 100%.
We will see if Spurs are interested again in him this summer.
He will be playing with the Mavs Summer League Team...
It isn't summer league but a vet mini camp that has happened yesterday and today. Players who do well in this camp usually get an invite for the summer league.
Gelabale being linked to Mavs isn't a big surprised. They have been said to be interested in him sooner this year and he currently lives in Dallas because his agent is located there.
I really liked him for years and also thought he might have more upside than Pietrus. well, things didn't exactly work well for him and the injury happened in the worst moment (in a contract year) and the recovery took almost twice as much time as usual. however, Spurs should still keep him in mind.

Basically, Cuban is saying that probably Rodrigue Beaubois will play this year for the mavs and won't be sent in Europe. The journalist is also stating that the mavs are interested by Gelabale, he has been selected for the Dallas Summer League

The Lakers cut Michael Fey (UCLA), Mickael Gelabale and David Monds today, trimming their roster to 15 players. Free agents Tony Gaffney and Thomas Kelati remained with the team for now. Neither is expected to make the squad, however.

I remember liking his game a few years ago. But that was pre-surgery. How does he look now after his recovery?
