I give the odds at about ten percent, at best. Perhaps I'm overly generous in expecting him to reach a rational decision. And I don't think reason or logic has a place in his equation. He's already chosen to stay in Detroit. He wants his great, great, great grandkids to live in Detroit, clearly the best city on Earth.

    Damn!

You guy Obama will fix it.

eh? He lives in Htown. In the friggin' summer.
Houston and Detriot. And I thought Rasheed was the thug. Oh well, he will be a great fit for the spurs.

Would the Pistons really trade Afflalo for nothing just to save $1 million to give to McDyess? That sounds like a high price to pay. Afflalo isn't great but $1 million is more than a fair deal.

Yeah, the Spurs have gotten lucky with regards to McDyess. I think he was more apt to stay if AJ got hired (or any veteran coach). That had to help, even if just slightly.

And now the salary cap coming in low helps even more.
True, although my best guess is that Dice was their target all along. I think they knew Sheed would never come to SA (he loves the limelight, and both Boston and Cleveland have more of that than we do) but had to give it a shot, and the guy they really wanted was Dice - both because he's such a nice fit (character- and game-wise) and after signing BG and CV the Pistons' cap was always going to be squeezed given the financial meltdown.

We lost out on Splitter a couple of years ago because of exchange rates, but it looks like a financial up has finally broken our way!

After seven or so years here I am convinced this city was founded here because Sam Houston lost a bet.

Isn't the correct question: what exit?
For some it is...I usually ask what part (North, Central, South), county, or town.

Why does living in Houston make one a "thug"?

Well, George W Bush and the Republicans pretty much ruined the world.
So, it's not coming back any time soon.

and if you want to talk politics, there is another forum.

I lived in Houston, went to high school in the Houston area.

    Northwest part.

    It's pretty nice.

I have also lived in Michigan too.

    I'll take Houston every time.

But each person has their own preferences.

It was a very old joke coming from someone who graduated from a high school in Middlesex County.

My mom is from Houston and I spent my summers there when I was a kid. The city is "thug". Mcdyess is not a thug though, I was only joking. Mcdyess is a class act and I am glad we got him instead of Sheed.
