McDyess to sign with Spurs

I am also selling beachfront property in Kansas - it's beautiful, right beside the Pacific Ocean.

And I have about 25 total posts here on Spurstalk.

I'm buying this. We now have a solid PF, we've got Hairston signed, I think the Spurs immediately ship Bonner and Finley for a backup point or defensive minded SF. All this dealing for the Spurs has made both expendable, and I think the Spurs would also be looking for cap relief.

I'm looking for something to go down soon. Very curious as to what might be in the works....

Bonner seems like one of the most down-to-earth, engaging, bright, centered and self-aware Spurs ever.

That said, Bonner needs to go (Jackie Butler style if neccessary).

The problem is that they will stand in the way for the development of guys like Hairston, Haislip, Gist and DeJuan. Pop will lean on Finley every chance he gets. Just look at how he buried Hill on the bench in the playoffs. Let the new starting five carry the load while the youngsters learn the same way TP did...we need some new blood to pan out.

As for cap relief, with tax, your talking 10 million. That's a of a lot for guys on the IR, which is part of the reason they need to go...they'll wind up putting someone else on the IR instead.

I'm a skeptic with that new person and his claims, but I am more than willing to be proven wrong.

I'd be thrilled to be rid of Bonner and Finely if possible. And if we can get Bowen back and a decent role player, it would be gravy.
