Oh thought you meant the Spurs had offered him one...
Good for him
the article says that Oberto refused the contract offer from Washington and that he's still looking at other teams
Arenas
Miller
Butler
Jamison
Oberto
what a sick lineup!
@ Fab snubbing the Wiz.
"I gotta ring, biatch!"
Yup, got offered a contract but he rejected in order to negotiate with another team."Fabricio Oberto descartó una oferta para jugar en Washington y quedó con el pase en su poder para negociar con otro equipo."
Houston ?
Oberto wants to be close to Austin so he can go club hopping.![]()
Oberto coming back doesn't make the prospect of Bowen coming back sound good...the Spurs are gonna run out of roster.
I wouldn't want to play for the Wizards either.
Probably headed to Houston.
Love Fab, but I hope the Spurs aren't the team he's referring to. In the context of all the other moves the Spurs have made he'd just be a redundant piece.
The Kings were rumored to be interested as well. Would be a great fit there.
I hope Oberto doesn't come back. His usefulness is seriously limited these days.
Has Bowen been waived yet? Whats the situation with Thomas?
Neither Bowen or Thomas have been waived yet. Bruce will, but I'm not sure Thomas will. KT's deal is fully guaranteed so the Bucks don't save anything by cutting him loose.
A lot of people keep talking about maybe getting Thomas back. I'm not sure how realistic that is considering the Bucks have little motivation to dump him. Hes a savvy player that could help mentor their guys for a year and they gain nothing by simply waiving him except to free up a roster spot.
Still, if hes released then I'd be fine with bringing him back aboard.
Orberto wants to play for a contender
If we acquire any more big men, it needs to be a shot blocker. Sorry Fab, but you're not one.
i though this contract was for to get deported back to argy![]()
I'd take KT back in a heartbeat. No offense, Fab.
I like KT too, but now with McDyess aboard I don't think there's a need. Between Dyess, Blair, Haislip, Mahinmi and Bonner the Spurs are stocked in the 6'8"-6'10" big man department. I'd only be interested in KT if one of those other guys left the roster for whatever reason.
We have a lot of unprovens though. Haislip has already busted once in the NBA and Mahinmi can't walk down the street without spraining an ankle. Blair has shaky knees and Duncan and McDyess are old...the potential for them missing a handful of games is quite high for simple minor injuries. So I'm not opposed to a little added depth in the frontcourt.
Love Fab, and I hope he gets picked up by a team that he likes, but I'd prefer to see what's up with Gist before taking on Oberto again. I mean, he didn't even play at the end of the season for us.
