I could do without seeing the ing Spurs lineup no less than five times in any thread in the Spurs forum right now. That is tired, and I really don't give a what any of you armchair GMs think about the team (outside of people who know what they're talking about... timvp is one of those people, Ghost Writer is not), especially those of you ungrateful bas s who want the Spurs to trade for another household name to put on the roster even it means paying Kobe Bryant's 2010 salary in luxury tax. I remember when this team had zero les and the media said David Robinson was like the Dan Marino of the NBA at the time.
Also mookie, about 89 times out of 100, timvp posts good takes on Spurs basketball. If you mad about people kissing his ass in the Spurs forum maybe you should post some takes of your own. Just sayin'.

The hilarity of this thread lies in the following points:
1. The people complaining about the Spurs forum and timvp getting props or whatever don't even post in the Spurs forum. The only time I see mockie in the Spurs forum is when he's scoffing timvp, scoffing Kori Ellis or trying to rile up the Manu fans. I've literally never seen chode_regulator post anything about the Spurs. This would be like me going to HornTalk and complaining about there being too many people being mean to Vince Young for sucking in the NFL. Or going to NeighborTalk and complaining about playing music too softly.
2. It's simply not true that everyone agrees with timvp. I can't name one person who I always agree with or who always agrees with me. I've had arguments with literally every main Spurs poster on this site. The members of the Mockie Crew who have chimed in to defend their man act like the Spurs forum is the land of kumbaya where everyone is in agreement over central takes. That's simply not the case for anyone who takes the time to actually read what's going on.
3. This one should probably be 2A but I don't feel like indenting. And this is also the most hilarious of all the points. mockie is mad because people supposedly always agree with me. But at the same time, the Mockie Crew has been on SpursTalk for about five years and I have yet to see these six or seven dudes disagree about anything. It's like the Victoria school system had one set of teachings and everyone had to learn and think the exact same way. I'd love to see one thing the Mockie Crew has ever disagreed about. timvp gets in more arguments in the Spurs forum with his own wife in one week than the Mockie Crew has gotten in their entire ulative 30-35 year history.
4. Even if it's mathematically accurate that timvp gets a prop here or there, it's not exactly surprising. That's what happens when you have 40,000 posts in a Spurs forum and waste untold thousands of hours discussing the team. It's also what happens when you've been posting about the Spurs on the internets for over 15 years. mockie would get his share of props too if he expanded his repertoire outside of his scoffing of timvp and all things Manu. But of course that doesn't stop mockie from wanting his junior moderator assistant badge. How cute.
5. Saying the Spurs forum is a "serious joke" is laughable. Sure, there is a lot of noise that you have to wade through these days but there are dozens of posters who have a disgusting amount of Spurs knowledge. The noise-to-quality ratio is higher than it used to be but if you know who and what to look for, the Spurs forum has never been better. Every inch of Spurs basketball is covered.
6. Hmmm ... not sure what number six should be but I'll think of something to honor Avery Johnson. I guess I'll just say that I actually think the Mockie Crew is pretty hilarious. CBF and thispego have a history of providing solid Spurs takes. 4cc is a funny bra. When chode_regulator isn't getting regulated by his neighbors he too is pretty entertaining. Oh and yeah mockie is funny in most settings. Even other Mockie Crew members whottt, The One and Only, Rita2352, 4cc's sister, Hunter The Reckoning, Allan Rowe versus Wade and the rest are better than average. And while they will all come into this thread to agree with and defend mockie (per terms in the Victoria cons ution), they know that they are fundamentally wrong. Either that or they are just blindly giving their support. I personally can't wait for whottt to enter the thread with an anti-timvp rant while mixing in a few jabs for his new enemy combatant (baseline bum). That should be a fun times.

I've been on the Spurstalks for a while, and have known the poster Mookie and crew for over 4 years.
But, I'm not ing around when I say, I thought CBF, 4cc, mookie, and chode reg were an unexplainable combination of two people.
Yeah if it wasn't for my ability to check IPs, I'd believe it was one maybe two people. I've never seen a group of people agree on literally everything. And come to each other's defense every. single. time.
I mean, there are a number of people on the forum who I consider real life friends but that wouldn't stop me from ripping on them or tearing one of their takes to shreds. If Kori says something I disagree with, that won't make me change my take. (on the internets, at least)
But if mockie gets in a disagreement, you can count on the Mockie Crew to come to his defense like his a wayward fawn kicking up dust around a pack of lions. It's actually quite funny.
Maybe this is the newage friendships where they don't keep score in YMCA games and don't disagree about anything and just pat each other on the back continuously to ward off any emo feelings that may arise.
