That was a last minute thing out of respect to the family. I believe MJ died something like 6 hours before the Bruno world premiere and they were able to remove the scene just minutes before the premiere.
Anyway - the movie once upon a time was NC-17 so they had to cut shots/remove the offending scenes to get it down to an R so mainstream theaters would show it. If you told me the movie I saw today was NC-17 as it is now, I would/could believe that. So that just makes me wonder what was so much worse that had it be NC-17 at the initial submission.

Hilarious movie. The climax of the movie with Straight Dave had me on the floor in s ches.

I saw it today... laughed so hard, I gave myself a headache, but jeebus... some really ed up . I think I like Bruno better than Borat because the people he made fun of in Bruno seemed to deserve it more. There were a couple of scenes in Borat that I thought were just mean. Those stage mothers scared the crap out of me; that was really disturbing.

They over-advertised the out of this movie.
I kept seeing Bruno every where in the last 2 months that I have no feeling whatsoever to actually see it now.
There were some hilarious parts but neither Bruno nor Borat come close to his interviews on the Ali G Show. I don't like how the Bruno movie focuses so much on the stupid plot and bull when the funniest moments are when Cohen interviews people who have no idea who he really is. That's why from the show is much better. Plus, the Bruno movie really relied on really obscene for material. All in all Borat was better, and the show is best.
I highly reccomend everyone taking their children to see this movie. I saw about a 10 yr old girl in my theater and it hit me, why not there is a lot to learn here.
bruno and borat are both funny, but it was more fun when he just had these series some years ago, with ali g borat and bruno, when no one knew them.
That reminds me of a movie review I read when the Southpark movie came out. It said something like, This movie is really smart and really funny. You will be rolling in the aisles from laughing. Do not, under any cir stance, take a child to see it.

My dad took me and my younger brother to go watch it. We were dying the whole movie(South Park) I was like 9 or 10. My brother was 5.
I didn't think Bruno was that funny. I walked out of Borat thinking it was one of the funniest movies I've every seen, but Bruno seemed over the top and forced. The only truly funny part was in the hotel- other than that it was funny, but not great.
I give it a 6.468 on my funny scale. (1 Being Good Luck Chuck- 10 Being Animal House and Caddyshack)
Sick freaken movie. The camping scene and going to a ghost whisperer so Bruno can "talk" to Milli of Milli Vanilli was crazy!
That mime act was amazing. It's true though, 5 minutes into the movie, you know what you're in for. RuPual is still hot.

Bruno has scoreboard over Borat and here's why.....Did Borat have a 9 inch swinging in a clockwise and counter clockwise motion? This took up my whole screen on my PC. Did Borat have a 2 year old black kid with headphones on turned up all the way listening to NWA? Did Borat have a two year old black baby in a box with holes in it coming down the automatic luggage dispenser? And then have the black baby on a crucifix,and covered with bees?
Did Borat give another man a french kiss for over 90 seconds in front of an angry MMA crowd of angry rednecks that were tossing beer a metal chairs in the ring?
Did Borat have a semi midget puerto rican man on an exercise bike ramming a dildo in his ass?
Although the Borat character was funnier Bruno had better skits. So they both are good and therefore it's a Draw in my book.
After further review the Draw! Did Borat have an S&M lady beat the out of him with a leather strap? Did Borat have a small Latino boy pour champagne from his ass?

Bruno was definitely funny, but c'mon borat is a 100x better. I saw bruno with a few friends pretty hammered and even in that state the middle part of the movie got kind of stale, the end parts redeemed it but just wasn't on borats level. That being said I did the unthinkable in the movie, i had a cherry flavored icee and looked down to take a sip and looked up and the part was on and the head of the penis opened and said bruno....i couldn't help it i spit out my whole mouthful of icee all over these two chicks in front of us...omg i was so embarassed and felt bad, but holy i was like wow. "Actual boner flying around on a huge screen and then talks! lMFAOOO, after looking back im not surprised at all i had that reaction.
it was hilarious. Cohen's ability to act, shock, and take a stab at dumb people all at the same time is spot on. He strays far from the norm, but its always some of the best satire.
