The Lakers' 2008-09 NBA champions DVD will be released for sale Tuesday after a VIP screening Monday night at the Nokia Theatre at LA Live. Among the players expected to attend are Lamar Odom, Derek Fisher, Luke Walton and Jordan Farmar.
According to Don Polite, executive director of Partner Brands Marketing in Burbank, which is promoting the DVD, along with season highlights, the video will also have a behind-the-scenes interview with Kobe Bryant and a round-table discussion with former Lakers talking about what it means to have been a Laker.
The story begins with never-seen footage from training camp and was produced by NBA Entertainment and will be available beginning Tuesday at local Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Target and K-Mart stores as well as other outlets that sell DVDs.
Will Jameer Nelson and Stan Van Gundy be there??
Magic Johnson covered that Championship nite with that blistering 2 minute diatribe on precisely what that means, as Smith, Barkley & Ernie Johnson sat there is rapt silence.
It'll be a great DVD..............
For me to POOP on.![]()
Enjoy Lakers fans!
I have all the Spurs ones and they are nicely packaged.
I like Avery Johnson's expression!
well they have highlights of the riots?![]()
if they do, they better have footage of the hot chicks flashing
Why, you're in them?
Oh my, Oh my....
that mother ing bull . Those mother ers wouldn't have ing won if I hadn't gotten hurt. Those mother ers are going down next season. all you -ass Laker fans. Sweet 17 on the way you es!!!
ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!!!!!!!
18, moron.
I'll wait a little for it to be had for around $8 or $9 bucks on DVD. I went all out for both 2008 Celtics a 2007 Spurs DVD's and have watched the price lower significantly on these NBA champs DVD's to make me think it's worth the wait.
The Mavs DVD is still going for $25 though, I gave in and bought it and it comes with a blank DVD. haha.
Figures, it's Kobe. My local Best Buy had the Celtics DVD but I had to mail order the 2007 Spurs DVD since no one had it for sale. My Best Buy had the 2006 Miami Heat DVD and the 2005 Spurs DVD. Had trouble finding the 2004 Pistons and 2003 Spurs DVD's, had to mail order those. Again, I am sick of watching the price drop on these DVD's, I'll wait this time.
I bought it, it's blank. I tried to return it but the cashier said they replaced it with the Heat DVD. Makes a nice drink coaster.
Thanks for posting this duncan228! I was going to but you beat me to it.![]()
You mean you cannot rap?
Guess the NBA isn't making enough on ticket sales...
did they mention that the other 2 powerhouses Boston + San Antonio were injured during the playoffs?![]()
Yep. And if you have a Wii, there's an interactive game on the disc letting you get in on all the rock throwing/window smashing action. They really know the hearts of the fans.
Most of the DVD is already on youtube for those who'd like to watch. Footage from last years finals through this seasons important regular season games through the playoffs. Dont know why anyone besides Laker fans would want to watch though.
Do you really wanna remind everyone how the spurs almost got swept by the mavs?![]()
Someone needs to PM me a torrent of this.
Yeah, how did Magic get out of his contract with ESPN to deliver said speech?
