The whole thing with the mavs going after odom was a joke. They can't offer more than the MLE (which the were going to offer to Gortat)...so they wouldn't be able to get him.

I dont even know if its possible, just a thought I had since they are getting screwed out of the Gotat deal (which, honestly, I didnt think was that great of a deal anyway).
