That >>>If<<< is kinda like the bear, Body: sometimes it eats ya (Kwame) and sometimes that old bear gets up all over ya (Fish comin' out of the TO and sprinting to right side arc whether it's in Orlando or...

None of what you just wrote makes any sense. In fact, I may just be stupider for having read it.

Pretty convoluted, eh? Basically just means using "If" as you do can be a slippery slope. Sometimes you end up with Kwame Brown, sometimes you end up with Fisher making three. Sometimes you end up with Manu going lethal all over the NBA. Sometimes you end up with Manu watching from the pine as Dallas ends you.

Ouch. I never realized how terrible the bench was. Maybe even worse than the Medvendenko-Smush-Brian Cook years, that forced them to sign Malone and Payton (and then get obliterated by the Pistons).

Kupchak really hasn't managed his dollars very well. This is the guy who traded Caron Butler for Kwame Brown. If not for the Gasol-giveaway, Kobe would still be ing about playing for a crap team.

Without Odom, they'll have to play starters tons of minutes. By the end of the year it will be like bone on bone.

    no odom means only having

    Kobe Bryant
    Pau Gasol
    Andrew Bynum
    Ron Artest

    as the main guys.

    Yah Lakers are ed. LOL
They'd still be a top tier team but they wouldn't be THE top tier team. And also they'd be completely ed if Bynum didn't stay healthy.

No, nothing compares to that misery. And that f'in Cook, no matter how bad he played it never got him down, or, made him not smile. I laughed till I cried.

This is all hypothetical obviously, but it would make sense for the Lakers to move Artest to the 6th man spot if they blank out on the Lamar sweepstakes. Whether Ron Ron would embrace such a role is a different story.

Vuja will set a new NBA record for 3s in a season, Shannon Brown will average double digit assists, Josh Powell will be a 15 and 10 guy, and Adam Morrison will average 21 and 7 off the bench while making the all star game.

Odom leaving is a blessing in disguise for lakerfans

Exactly! And Phil will learn suddenly how to develop young players and Kobe will be the consummate teammate, bringing them along.

Just like Ariza's two steals. Now the guy is a defensive stopper!!! You plug in xyz player, and we wont even miss a beat if Odumb leaves.

I'd love to do a sign and trade for Amare, and move Bynum to the bench where he belongs.
Lakaluva I agreed with it when you said Ariza is a dime a dozen, easily replaceable player. However, it's a bit of a stretch to say "You plug in xyz player, and we wont even miss a beat if Odumb leaves."........I think they would be able to find ways to make up for his absense, but it wouldn't be simple, and it would probably require some adjusting, mainly that Bynum would have to replace his rebounding and finishing ability, while Farmar or Brown would have to replace his playmaking when Kobe is off the court.
