True. But Beck to his credit has a very nice jumper.
That he does. And actually he's good at catching the ball and using ONE dribble to free himself up. Real nice jumper, but not nearly enough complimentary skills to justify consideration for an NBA roster spot.

Too bad it takes about three seconds from start to release.
We had successful players with slow releases. SJax comes to mind.

Yep: Ian MAY have only had 5 or 6 fouls if the refs weren't calling the wind blowing as a flagrant.
Well he might as well get used to it. If he gets minutes this year he's gonna get rookie calls, even though he's technically not a rookie.

We had successful players with slow releases. SJax comes to mind.
The reason they were successful is because they had something else in addition to the slow release. Beck has that gimmick crossover, and that's about it.

He looked best running the point. Too bad Newman had him at point for like three minutes. Taylor over McClinton at point guard is mind-boggling.

Taylor straight up fell down while dribbling at least thrice.

Taylor would make a great 6'5" PG... if he, you know, had PG skills.

I love how Hill and Hairston are being frozen out by the scrubs with them..

I also love how Denver is getting every call in a Summer League game LOL..
A portent of things to come, perhaps?

Don't forget that Billups was a key player for the Pistons in the 2005 Finals.

That series would have been over in 4 or 5 games if the refs hadn't let Detroit's defensive bigs foul Duncan in the post with absolute impunity.

My point: I guess the Spurs can expect that against Denver in the Playoffs.

He is, but I forget where. I want to say New Jersey for some reason.
I noticed AJ is on the Nets SL rooster, but he did not play in any of the games. Does not look too promising for him.

Who can tell me how much does Ian really weigh? Why does it say that he is only 230 lbs on http://www.nba.com/summerleague2009/...er=ian_mahinmi? But I remembered that he is about 250 lbs.

16 boards, 10 fouls and 12 points for Ian...a triple double...

They could have easily called another seven or eight fouls on Ian. He just kept brushing up against people. Damned Frenchman.

Anybody wrote down the name of the female ref? I'm officially canceling my subscription to NBA League Pass once she goes pro.
