I was a kid in '79 (5-6) but does anyone ever remember the movie
"The Fish that Saved Pittsburg" with Julius "Dr. J" Erving?

My pops has it in VHS and saw it a couple of months ago. Pretty cool dunk scenes of the Dr. himself.

What a mother ing insult to David Robinson. They show every NBA player that was featured in the movie on the poster except David Robinson. ING A.

Also Space Jam is by the far the most entertaining and best basketball movie, all the other ones are just bull .

White Men Can't Jump, if not for the ridiculous part at the end where his g/f goes off and starts answering Jeopardy with prescience, would have to be one of the greatest sports movies of all time, maybe top 3. It's such a fantastic story about life and the flaws that make people do what they do. When Woody fails to dunk after winning it all and loses his money, it's among the top moments in (sports) movie history.

Fantastic film. With some of the best action of any b-ball movie.

Coach Ken Carter: When we step on the floor every second that clock is ticking, we are pedal to the metal, we run the ball, we pressure the ball, and most importantly we control the tempo of the game, we make them play Richmond Oiler ball.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our dark that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people don't feel insecure around you.We are all meant to shine as children do. Its not just in some of us; its in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsiously give other people to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. Sir I just wanna say thank you . . . You saved my life.

Because it's a Disneyized PC story that's not even remotely accurate? Wasn't this what everyone said about Rudy?

I always thought WMCJ was an ironic le since it had little Wesley Snipes throwing it down on an 8 foot rim.

Since when are do entaries not a kind of movie?

I know everyone says how great Hoosiers was, but I was underwhelmed by it. It was pretty good, but didn't really live up to the hype.

Fine citation for "The Pistol", is that what yer referring to, Scott?

I got to call a smidge of ass on Braveheart and I'll tell you why, Scott: It sticks in my craw when the Gibson character won't fight when the English Lord takes that newlywed's wife on her wedding night to his own bed, but, wants everyone to follow him to war after his wife's throat is cut. Then when the newlywed comes face to face with the guy who took his wife that night Gibson tells him to hurry with his vengeance. It ain't right.
