The latest cost estimates for health care legislation in Congress are about $1.6 trillion over 10 years, according to two Senate sources.

Two Senate staffers, one Democratic and one Republican, said the Congressional Budget Office made the estimate for the Finance Committee version of the bill. The Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee version would cost $1 trillion over ten years, but would only cover about one-third of the nearly 50 million uninsured.

The staffers who disclosed the latest estimates spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of negotiations over the legislation.

A Finance Committee Democratic aide, who also spoke on condition of anonymity, indicated committee members are working to lower the cost to less than $1 trillion over 10 years, a level preferred by the Obama administration.

Not really (about China). The Messiah gets his Cap & Tax and Socialized health care passed though, and you can stick a fork in our country and the dollar.

It ain't going to be pretty the day our economy fully collapses.

Don't worry, if we all just click our heels together and keep telling ourselves that we're for hope and change everything will work out fine. There's no need to trouble ourselves with insignificant details like where the are we going to find a trillion dollars lying around.

How the can you justify a NEW federal healthcare program when this is the case with the other ones:

    http://cboblog.cbo.gov/?p=328

PLEASE some liberal justify this! Are you all nuts?

Would be tantamount to me arguing that invading Syria right now, deposing the leadership and setting up a Democracy would be a good thing to do - STARTING TOMORROW!!! Are liberals incapable of learning from history?

NH man charged 23 quadrillion dollars for smokes

    (AP) – 1 day ago

MANCHESTER, N.H. — A New Hampshire man says he swiped his debit card at a gas station to buy a pack of cigarettes and was charged over 23 quadrillion dollars.

Josh Muszynski (Moo-SIN'-ski) checked his account online a few hours later and saw the 17-digit number — a stunning $23,148,855,308,184,500 (twenty-three quadrillion, one hundred forty-eight trillion, eight hundred fifty-five billion, three hundred eight million, one hundred eighty-four thousand, five hundred dollars).

Muszynski says he spent two hours on the phone with Bank of America trying to sort out the string of numbers and the $15 overdraft fee.

The bank corrected the error the next day.

Bank of America tells WMUR-TV only the card issuer, Visa, could answer questions. Visa, in turn, referred questions to the bank.

Was going to happen anyway, dont kid yourself.

Do conservatives honestly think things would be different with (saaaay) McCain as POTUS?

Fiscal responsibility is a buzzword used by ancient politicians. The phrase doesnt even exist in present day lexicon.

To pretend otherwise other confirms an already well established bias.
