Like I always said...Dana White is a brash promoter doing his job when he says dumb ...
But he really needs to STFU about criticizing refs...there is no excuse for that.

UFC President Dana White had some harsh, and profane, words for referee Steve Mazzagatti in an appearance on the Opie & Anthony Show.
First, the background: In the run-up to UFC 100, Brock Lesnar sold his fight in part by turning it into a grudge match not just against his opponent, Frank Mir, but against Mazzagatti, the referee who worked the first Mir-Lesnar bout. Lesnar ripped Mazzagatti for standing up the fight after he hit Mir in the back of the head, and for failing to stop the fight quickly when he tapped out.White said Lesnar was right to be upset.
"Mazzagatti, as a referee?" White said. "This f**king guy shouldn't even be watching MMA on TV, let alone refereeing it. I think he's the worst ref in the history of any fight business, ever. He's horrible. We don't pick the refs. The athletic commission does. Those guys are picked by the government. It's not that I don't like him, he's a nice guy. He's an absolute nice guy, he has no business whatsoever being anywhere near mixed martial arts."
White also said:
--He expects the winner of the UFC 104 bout between Shane Carwin and Cain Velasquez to fight Lesnar next.
--He wants to sign Fedor Emelianenko but "it takes two people to make a deal."
--He didn't like Dan Henderson's comments about hitting Michael Bisping to shut him up. (Dana must be butt hurt his UK gravy train just ran out)..
--EA Sports, which now wants to make an MMA video game, wouldn't even take a meeting with the UFC a few years ago.
--Georges St. Pierre "wears tight shorts and a cup that's really big."
Like I always said...Dana White is a brash promoter doing his job when he says dumb ...
But he really needs to STFU about criticizing refs...there is no excuse for that.
Yesss!!!!!
WEC Featherweight Champion Mike Brown will try to make his third defense of the le when he faces the surging Jose Aldo at WEC 45 on November 11th. Aldo confirmed the news with Brazilian website intheguard.tv, saying that bout agreements have been signed but no location has been set.
Brown successfully defended the featherweight belt against the man he won it from, Urijah Faber, at WEC 41 last month. The second win over Faber brings Brown's winning streak up to 10, and he is unanimously ranked as the top featherweight fighter in the world.
Aldo increased his mark in the WEC to 5-0 with an 8 second TKO of Cub Swanson, also at WEC 41. The 22-year old Brazilian is 15-1 in his mixed-martial arts career.

Swick and Kampmann Fight With Welterweight le Shot Against GSP On The Line at UFC 103
featured welterweight matchup between contenders Mike Swick and Martin Kampmann set for UFC 103 on September 19 in Dallas will determine the top contender in the 170-pound division, with the winner then taking on welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre for the le.
UFC matchmaker Joe Silva confirmed the news during Saturday’s UFC 100 pay-per-view broadcast.
Swick (14-2) has lost just once in 10 UFC bouts, losing to middleweight contender Yushin Okami in 2007 before dropping to welterweight in early-2008 and winning four-straight fights over Josh Burkman, Marcus Davis, Jonathan Goulet, and Ben Saunders.
Kampmann (15-2) has won 6 of his 7 UFC fights, including 2-straight at welterweight over Carlos Condit and Alexandre Barros following a loss to middleweight contender Nate Marquardt last September in his final fight at 185-pounds.
St-Pierre (19-2) has won 6-straight matchups following his upset loss to Matt Serra in early-2007, defeating Josh Koscheck, Matt Hughes, Serra, Jon Fitch, BJ Penn, and Thiago Alves to cement his status as the world’s top welterweight and among its best pound-for-pound fighters.
A date for the matchup between St-Pierre and the Swick-Kampmann winner is not yet set, as it hinges on how St-Pierre’s groin injury, suffered in his UFC 100 win over Alves, heals, as well as what shape the winner of the September fight between Swick and Kampmann is in, though the UFC’s traditional blockbuster year-end show, with this years set to take place in early-January, is a possibility.

Murder Suspect’s Trial Delayed in Eilers Case
Wednesday, July 22, 2009
by Greg Savage ([email protected])
Justin Eilers’ stepfather, James R. Malec, has had his trial date pushed back. A provisional date of Aug. 31 has been set for the man accused of shooting and killing the former UFC heavyweight le contender after a Christmas night argument at Malec’s home in Nampa, Idaho.
According to a report at IdahoStatesman.com, Malec has retained the services of private counsel who will need the extra time to prepare for the trial.
Eilers (19-7-1) fought for the UFC heavyweight le in June 2005, suffering a knockout loss to champion Andrei Arlovski. The former Iowa State football standout was 30 years old when he died. He left behind an eight-year-old son.
Wanderlei Silva (32-10-1) is set to take on Michael Bisping (17-2) at UFC 105 in Manchester according to MMABay.co.uk
yea...Dana not doing Bisping any favors...kinda surprising.
According to MMAJunkie.com, Wanderlei Silva is currently in negotiations to fight Michael Bisping in the main event of UFC 105. UFC 105 takes place at Manchester Evening News Arena in Manchester, England and will air on tape delay on E TV. After his KO loss to Dan Henderson at UFC 100, Bisping said that he wanted a top fighter for UFC 105. Dan Hardy, James Wilks and Ross Pearson are all expected to be on the UFC 105 card.
I dont think its set yet, but yea I cant wait to see Bisping get KTFO again!
