I just can't imagine how the diehard Sun Fan feels about the Spurs at this point. As if the playoff woes weren't enough, now they're watching their club get turned topsy-turvy by an Ex-Spur exec trying to copy the Spurs system.

I should bring my Ginobili jersey next time I'm in Phoenix.

I still have the theory that Kerr is a double-agent working for the Spurs. If only AJ were still with the Mavs....

I`m spurs fan, and as such I respect Pop as much as Duncan, so give credit to everyone, not just the super star player we built our dinasty around.

I remember that the draft that year, there way a back a fourth between two analysts about Duncan or Van Horn

Isnt it the biggest Draft Disparity between 1 and 2

Hakeem and Bowie is the only one i can says comes close
I remember the ESPN boards back then. There was serious debate about who would be the ROY. Even after Duncan had won ROM in 3 straight months, there were still people who thought Van Horn was better and would win the ROY.

I wonder how that worked out for them.

Wasn't there some serious talk about Duncan being MVP in his rookie year? I wonder how many votes he got?

What a great strip. I really thought Steve Kerr would do a better job as GM. He's really hosed that team.

You have to wonder when Steve Nash will get the out of there. Poor er.

148, he finshed 5th behind Jordan, Malone, Payton and Shaq.

He was also 5th in DPOY.

This past season was his first that he did not finish top 10. He was 11th.

He has won it twice, finished top 5 in the first 8 years of his career) and until this season was never lower than 8th.

Duncan was Rookie of the Month the entire season.

Wow, thanks for the info. Very interesting.

I also forgot that Payton was EVER a serious MVP candidate.

Um yes, but I was referring to the point of the season at which I was on the ESPN boards, which was 4 months in at the time.

I did follow that, I was just taking advantage of the opportunity to add to the Duncan accomplishment list you started.
