I think he will be better than Oden... but then again, that's not hard to do at all...
Is he going to play like he did in college?
Will he ever make the All Star team?
Is he gonna win ROY?
Or maybe he just going to be like Michael Beasley type of player?

Beasley certainly has more skill, but Blake has more athleticism and work ethic seemingly. I do not think either will be great with regards to "building a team around them to win a le", but they both can be very good players.
It's tough to bet against a kid who has the body and athleticism of Amare Stoudemire and actually does play defense, rebound with effort, and bring consistent hustle. His size, frame, and body resembles Amare's, but his game draws more parallels with Dwight.
I doubted him at the beginning of last season, saying he's only as good as he is because of how devoid of big men the college game is. But, I've since changed my tune about him. I think his athleticism, strength, and what seems to be the right work ethic should take him quite a long way in the league, barring injuries.
I think after a few years of improving, developing, and honing his overall game, he'll perennially be an all star or a borderline all star for much of his career. I think he'll be a very, very good player in the league for a long time.
I think he should be the favorite for the ROY and rightfully so. The only players I think who might challenge him are Tyreke Evans and Stephen Curry. Tyreke Evans is a freak and the Kings would be wise to just play him 30+ mpg from day 1. If the Warriors can somehow move a couple of their players to ensure Curry can get 30+ mpg as well, Curry could put up some pretty crazy rookie numbers in Nellie ball. But, I would imagine Blake should still win the ROY.

I think he's gonna be pretty damn good, shame he's stuck with the clipshow.
As the #1 guy? No. At least not right now. It's like building around Dwight Howard. Neither a go-to scorer in the NBA. Either he has to develop that, or he'd be again like Dwight Howard. He could possibly be a superstar type player, but more of a superstar defensive specialist. But, who knows? Karl Malone started his NBA career using his strength and athleticism for the most part, but then developed that midrange free throw line jumper and got better at shooting free throws. If Griffin can do that, he might develop into that go-to guy on a championship caliber team. But, right now, I'd say no.
And, you don't necessarily need one of those guys to win a le anyway. It helps tremendously. But, look at the 2004 Pistons and the 2008 Celtics. The 2004 Pistons didn't have that Duncan or Shaq centerpiece. And, while the 2008 Celtics had three superstar players, it took all three because before they were put on the same team, each was a superstar who couldn't be the centerpiece to a championship team. Sometimes it takes the right mix of players. If you tell me that Blake Griffin will end up being on the same team as Kevin Durant and Brandon Roy later in his career, then I might tell you he can be the centerpiece to a championship team the way Garnett was for the Celtics two seasons ago.

That is what I was getting at. I think the same thing. I am not saying you need a Duncan/Shaq to win, but those are what you think of when you think #1 pick/franchise. I agree he will be one of those players who can win, but he will need someone of equal or better talent in order to do so.

I'm not sold on him. I think he'll be a quality player, but he's never going to be a good defensive player or shot blocker, and he's going to have trouble finishing in the post because he has such short arms. Rarely does a player with stubby arms, especially a post player, become a very good NBA player (Kevin Willis did, but still). That said, he's got an insane handle and excellent athleticism for a big man, and if he can fine tune his jumper, he could develop into a poor man's Karl Malone.
Tough to say, clippers should get rid of Camby to make rooom for Blake. Then they should surround Blake with shooters, Michael Finley and Matt Bonner type players.
I'm a huge Blake Griffin fan and he's the ultimate guy you want on your team and deservedly the first pick in the draft but IMO he will never be a superstar.
He is an incredible talent and if given a another good/ all star player around him i think later in his career he will be able to win a championship.
People who say he is like Amare Stoudemire are correct, but he has the humble at ude and work ethic to lead a team to a championship.

Blake has ACL's, he'll be in the league longer then 3 seasons.
Boozerish is a good guess, not the boozer of now, but the boozer that screwed over CLE
So far, I've seen him handle the ball far better than I expected, and he's shown some real range to his jumper. Add to that his strength and leaping ability and he's got the chance to be a beast for a long time in this league.
