Nene
Jeffersons way better, I'd also put Kaveman(if healthy) ahead of Nene as well.
Also whoever thinks Bynum's going to be an allstar is an idiot. Oden>>>>>Bynum, or any other Faker center in history for that matter.
1. Al Jefferson
2. Andrew Bynum
3. Andris Biedrins
4. Chris Kaman
5. Marcus Camby
The West definitely looks thin with Shaq gone and Yao being out. Jefferson is a terrific player and he should be a top candidate for the ASG. However, playing for the Wolves makes it easy to overlook him.
Bynum has to stay healthy and get back to his old form, then he should be the top candidate.
If Jefferson and Bynum stay healthy they should be in as Starter and backup.
Kaman, Camby and Biedrins have a slight chance and if either Jefferson or Bynum get injured one of them will be there. But it's hard to tell which one.
that foo can play?
Duncan will be listed as a Forward for the All Star Game. No way the NBA tries to pull the flip again.
My money is going on Jefferson.
Jefferson? Al Jefferson? Isn't he a bona fide PF?
+1 to the Pau/Duncan as center comments. I thought Bynum was the C on the Lakers and *insert random scrub* was the center of the Spurs...
IMHO, Mehmet Okur is probably the best pure center in the West right now, unless someone else decides to have a career year.
He was listed at C last season, IIRC. Maybe even the season before that.
Depends on your definition of a 'pure' center.
Okur strikes me more as a 7-foot PF, myself.
Jefferson is a Center-Forward, and was balloted as a Center last year, as that is generally what he has been playing with the Wolves.
Then again, he also finished behind Bynum, Okur, Oden, and Biedrins, despite a pretty solid year.
CENTERS (2009)
Yao Ming (Hou) 2,532,958
Shaquille ONeal (Pho) 1,850,018
Andrew Bynum (LAL) 549,131
Mehmet Okur (Utah) 437,106
Greg Oden (Por) 359,318
Andris Biedrins (GS) 357,984
Al Jefferson (Minn) 310,643

You're kind of a moron. Read it in context.
I guess to me, a center is defined by his defensive position. Okur guards inside the paint, looking to block the shot and get the defensive rebound. Dirk never defends the paint, and is usually on the floor with someone who does. Despite Ben Wallace having no offensive game to speak of, he defended the paint, with someone who guarded the PF/C individually next to him. Shaq, despite his lack of defense, is taksed with 'clogging' the paint. Duncan seems to defend the paint, which is why I always considered him more of a C than a PF.

Quality over quan y kseal, please stop embarrassing yourself.
Multiple Spurfans butt hurt over a couple stupid jokes, get over yourselves.
It's going to be bynum, simply cause he's a laker. Al could put up monster numbers, he'll still won't get any recognition![]()
Pathetic Lakers' fan can't pick up on sarcasm and makes fun of those who call him out for being a dumbass.
You seriously thought I thought spurfans really thought grampdice deserved to start in the all star game? Are you serious?
