Who do you think it will be?

I'm going with Kobe because i think LA can win 68 games next year (I know I'm a homer, but it is quite possible) and if they lead the league in wins and Kobe plays like Kobe the media might get off LeBron long enough to give Kobe the Award

Ya, because the media being on Lebron is what made him the MVP. Makes sense.

Who cares kobe needs more les not MVP's ...if Lebron wins agin and fails to reach the FINALS I will find that hilarious!!! Even though I don't dislike James I just think the nuthuggin is heading to Mj porportions!! And he is not there on that level...yet. He may someday be even greater but that day is not today he is still behind Kobe just listen to 'Lil Wayne's song: "Kobe Bryant"

    Kevin Durant.

OKC will open a lot of eyes this season and could be a playoff team.

But if a team wins 70+ games, then I would give the MVP to the most important player on the team (notice how I didn't say "the best player on the team").
unless they win 50+ games, i dont think thats gonna happen. and i dont see them winning 50+. i think they are a 8th-9th seed.

i think if the heat get within the top 4 in the east and wade puts up similar numbers to last year, he will win it. i dont think the cavs will win 66 games again.

Wade is next in line. Otherwise, Lebron is good enough for back to back.

I can see the Thunder winning 45 games next season.
thats not enough for voters in today's age. kobe averaged almost 32 points, 6 boards and over 5 assists in 06 when they took the suns to game 7 in the playoffs with kwame and smush starting. couple that with his star power, and he still didnt get it then. i dont think 45 wins is going to be enough for KD to be considered seriously for the award let alone enough for the thunder get the 8th seed.

i think the 8th seed in the west will need 49 wins next year

lebron. i think the hype machines of the nba wont give it to d-wade. either way its bs for either player. lebron will get it cause he will average his 29 8 8. tough to ignore. if the lakers win 68 the media will say he has one already who cares he has all the help

Agreed. One thing that will hurt duncan is votes for parker, and people who won't put him their due to the # of important contributors. MVP is a great award, but many players who don't win, don't win b/c they have a lot of help around them, which, le-winning-wise, is better than having the league MVP on your team. I think paul should have a least one MVP, but I don't like that in the fact that if he goes down, so does the WHOLE TEAM(true meaning of an MVP)

Kevin Durant isn't gonna happen. We saw in 2006 and 2007 with Lebron and Kobe that when a player scores a bunch and leads his team to a slightly above .500 record, the voters generally don't vote for him and that you've gotta be on one of the teams with the best record to have a real shot at MVP.

The Thunder might surprise people this year but no way they get 50+ wins.

No, I'm just saying he is so hyped that even if someone else deserved it more LeBron would likely still get it. The fact that LeBron was so high in DPOY voting when he is not even close to being a top tier defender proves my statement
