I don't remember what I was listening to or watching, but I heard something about the Government wants to wipe away your student loans if you work for them. I can't find any information about it, and it seems a little too good to be true. Has anybody else heard of this, and they didn't say you would get money towards paying off a loan, they said it would be wiped completely away.
Id go assassinate Castro if it would kill my student loan.
Work in a le 1 school district for 5 years....

Yes! Please take away my $20K in student loans!

Isn't tuition there like $15G a year? What a ripoff. I don't understand how they stay afloat.
I'd teach klan members in jail to wipe away my 35 k.
Yeah its about $40K for the 2 years.I kick myself everyday for going there, but at the time my mom was forcing me to get off my butt after being out of H.S. for 6 months.

They're classified as what is known as a "college for profit" Hallmark. Career Point, Everest etc.... all run on the same scam they pray on the ignorant masses and usually just get their money from student loans. I know a girl who spent 12000 at one of those places for a cert. she could have got at sac for 900
I wouldn't say its a complete scam. College hours from a school like Hallmark is acceptable by universities and colleges though not all of them. They follow course curriculum and the best part is that they try to find you a job. So you can either do that or continue your education to a 4 year college that accepts those credit hours for a bachelors.
But I do agree that they are waaaay more expensive though. Might as well go to SAC. But hey, an associate in 1 year? Not too shabby.

I can't remember if my husband's loans would have been excused if he got a job with the VA or not. I vaguely remember him mentioning something about this. But he doesn't work for the VA so paying back the loans we continue to do.
They're my second mortage (thanks to 3 years of deferment).
my husband's loans are way more than $60k![]()
I'd take a bullet for Obama if he would erase my student loans. If you have student loans, you're basically ed unless you die or win the lottery. You're ed because if you try to consolidate your student loans, you're going to be paying a bigger total amount. If you try the volunteering or teaching route, you better read the fine print and make sure your loans meet the requirements and are the right ones.
