lol
The second positive steriod test from Barnett in his career. I wash my hands of him.
pretty much so do I. It would have been cool to see him make another run in the UFC. I think he could have gone 3-3.

My Response
Category: Sports
Many of you are wondering what's happening. What I can say is that when applying for my license, the CSAC asked for me to submit a urine sample for testing prior to granting my license as they do with everyone, I believe. It was not a random test. I had no reason to believe there would be any issues and went in to submit my sample at the earliest possible opportunity on June 25th. I never once thought there would be a problem.
My representatives and I are working to gather as much info as possible and handle this situation as best as we can. I am embarrassed and want for nothing more than to resolve this issue and receive a license from the State of California as I have done many times already and for other states as well.
I am very thankful for all the great family, friends and fans that still support me.
Sincerely,
Josh
Since it won't be Werdum, maybe they could at least get Monson. Or some other HW. I'm not too keen on the idea of Fedor fighting another middleweight.
Fedors manager said he want Brett Rogers to take the fight.
Barnett has always been one of my favorite fighters. He's technical, tough as nails, and a funny guy when you put the mic in front of him. But getting two positive tests for roids is just too much for me to look past as a fan.
I think it's a little unfair to say "fighting another MW"...technically it’s true, but there will be about 1 inch (maybe?) and 15-20 lbs difference between them. Doesn’t make it suck any less, but it’s still a small HW (LHW if he cut weight) against a guy that has fought most of his career at LHW (and some at HW) and now cuts to MW. But technically, Vitor was to be a MW on this card. So, yea...
I'm not picking on you...I'm seeing it mentioned everywhere. Lesnar had 50+ lbs on Randy, but that's just the way the HW division is. I don't think the size advantage is a big deal in this fight.
I'm bummed that we don't get Fedor vs Barnett. Vitor is still dangerous...Fedor can't sleep on him. He's more dangerous than Lindland...and HMC...

Can someone pull an updated card so everyone can re-do their picks? Vitor was a bad mf 10 years ago..
Monson is calling out Fedor...says he's submit him. Vitor is a bigger threat IMO.
Early odds
Fedor Emelianenko -850
Vitor Belfort +550
I really like Lauzon as an underdog...
Oh no, I get it. It just seems unfair to give him even that tiny little bit of advantage, seeing as he's already so much better than everyone else anyway![]()
MMA legend Don Frye will return to action on Aug. 28 to face Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal at M-1 Global's first major U.S. show in Los Angeles.
But he'd happily step in to face Fedor Emelianenko at Affliction "Trilogy"... if promoter Tom Atencio will let him.
"If Tom was smart, he'd have me fighting Fedor instead of whoever he's hiring on a one week notice," Frye told MMAInsider. "My phone works if he wants a real fight with someone who sell a fight in four days, somebody who will beat that bald-headed commie too."
In fact, Frye said the only reason he was fighting Lawal was to get an eventual shot at Emelianenko.
"He ain't seen anything I have to offer," continued Frye. "He built his whole reputation (as a) waffle house chef. They've been serving him up ham and eggs with a side of canned tomatoes. I'll bring it. And if he can bring it, you'll have the best fight you've ever seen on the planet."
Frye, Tank, Ken...all trying to get in on a big payday....lame...
Fedor is in an impossible situation. I bet Tom wishes Cro Cop wishes he hadn't JUST signed that UFC contract.
werd imagine if tom got crocop for a re-match in japan where he could go back to juicing
WIN/WIN
MF'R SUCKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In a matter of days Affliction Entertainment's "Trilogy" event when from promising the top heavyweight fight in mixed martial arts to being cancelled outright, multiple sources confirmed to SI.com Friday morning.
Affliction Entertainment vice president began making calls with the news Friday morning to fighters scheduled to appear on the Aug. 1 card, SI.com has learned.
The abrupt change comes in the wake of 31-year-old Josh Barnett testing positive for banned substances following a California State Athletic Commission pre-fight drug test.
