Right, I disagree with those who think he's an uppity negro who should be put in his place.
No, that's exactly what he was doing, wrong as they may have been. And arrested for expressing political beliefs? That's laughable, man.
we all know why it happened. go ahead, you can say it. they know.
Right, I disagree with those who think he's an uppity negro who should be put in his place.
No, that's exactly what he was doing, wrong as they may have been. And arrested for expressing political beliefs? That's laughable, man.
I don't believe you know how to properly use the word assume.
As usual you're way off point. They didn't assume anything. They responded to a report of a burglary in progress. You don't think police should respond to reports of burglaries in progress?
hopefully james the cop doesn't get the same fate as gerald the inspector general.
Make that two people who don't know the meaning of the word assume.
So if they don't assume anything, they never had to ask him for any ID or follow any procedure at all.
Game. Set. Match.
He provided ID. If it was such an arrestable offense why didn't he just arrest him before he provided ID. Why wait. Why drag it out. If his behavior was so bad right off the bat then why bother waiting for ID just cuff him and be done.
He let it drag on and got pissed off about it. The cop let his emotions decide a course of action instead doing the right thing and leaving after seeing the ID.
Disorderly conduct is a horse excuse for making a poor emotionally charged decision.
I think if you act like a complete asshole to law enforcement who come to make sure someone wasnt breaking into your house, you deserve to spend a few hours thinking about it in a cell.
He should have showed the officers his drivers license, explained the situation and thanked them for investigating. Instead he decided to be an asshole.
Again, who said that? Oh, right, "pretty much" anyone who disagrees with you. Calling the other side racist---with no evidence---in this kind of debate reveals you to be highly insecure or stupid.
I didn't know expressing political opinions was punishable under Massachusetts law. I learn something new every day.
a white president would have found this amusing.
Right, don't be uppity and know your place.
Arrest this man!He should have showed the officers his drivers license, explained the situation and thanked them for investigating. Instead he decided to be an asshole.
Put him in jail!
couldn't have said it any better.
Holy. ing. .
If he assumed anything, then why did he ask for ID in the first place? If he assumed he was a burglar, why didnt he pull his gun and arrest him?
Youre WRONG!
WRONG! WRONG! WRONG!
But youre too proud to admit it.
Never let your ego get so close to your position as to when your position goes, your ego goes with it.
- Colin Powell
The evidence is here. This kind of debate reveals you to be ignorant and an enemy of personal liberty and rights.
That's why the charges were dropped.I didn't know expressing political opinions was punishable under Massachusetts law. I learn something new every day.
don't quote powell in front of viva.
Your new avatar is ready.

No point in arguing any longer. People in this thread have made it clear just how much like like authoritarian figures.
Law enforcement officers make assumptions all the time. They have to. Their lives depend on it.
You're wrong.
Caps Lock won't change that.
You really don't know the meaning of the word assume.
Why not?
Ironic, considering the same people would be all up in arms about Iran and China's treatment of citizens.
because viva thinks powell is a yellow coward. he must hate you now.
