    1) A center who can block shots and has some offensive game, and can run the floor well

    2) A Point Guard with speed who can drive into the teeth of the defense and consistently score, or find the open man

    3) An athletic Two-Guard....Even though Marion will probably be put at the 3 and Howard at the 2, they need someone else besides Dirk to be the closer....In 2010, Joe Johnson would work perfectly, don't know their cap situation, but probably no room to spend much in 2010

All Mav hate aside I think if they had a serious post player with Dirk spreading the floor they would be a very tough team. Imagine if Dirk and Duncan team up....

Makes you wonder if the Mavs FO really know to build a team cause its pretty obvious that a post player is needed.

Drew Gooden is a post player but it's obvious they need a post player and defense at center. How many players are good at both?

You know what the funny thing is?? You actually totally do no matter how much you deny it.

And that 30 year old on one knee still averaged 20 and 10 last year, it seems people tend to forget.

Lol, spurs thinking there's something special about their franchise. The truth is they tanked for the number 1 pick and lucked out with the best power forward ever. Once he's gone, it's back to obscurity for them.

Actually the Lakers recieved New Orleans' first rounder that year when Gail Goodrich signed with the New Orleans Jazz. That first round pick happened to become Magic Johnson.

Sounds like a lot of BS to me though.....when you lose a player through free agency, you shouldn't have to compensate the other team with your draft pick. And btw they got Worthy by trading Don Ford to Cleveland for some and their 1st round pick. And that pick "happened" to become another number one pick.
