Manu and Hill without a doubt.
Manu is 6'6. Mason is 6'4 at best.
Hill can guard Tony, Mason can not guard Manu
And, our starting 5 is:
Tony/Hill
ManyMason
Jefferson/Hairston
Duncan/Ian
Big Mike/Theo
Tony and Mason vs Manu and Hill?
Essentially, who's better, our starting back-court or bench back-court?
Fascinating comparison. On the one hand, Hill is likely the best defender, that is, Hill on Parker compared to Mason on Manu might give the edge to the bench guys. On the other hand, Hill's the least reliable offensively, you can dare him to score, but you better not give Parker or Mason an inch.
Maybe the answer's different for 2-on-2 in the gym and real NBA play (remember to adjust comparison on a per minute basis here).
Thoughts?

Can Manu make it on to the court at least?

Could Hill really guard Parker? I don't know about that.![]()
i thought this thread would be about duncan + manu vs. gasol + bryant.
no way hill is that good yet to lockdown tp no way
Mason would hit a game winner at the buzzer... if there was a buzzer.
Nobody in this earth can guard tony,
Tony and mason would win, with Tony dominating
manu and hill definitely-though tp would keep it close
Hill wouldn't lock Tony down, but he would do just enough to get the win for him and Manu. Manu would score on Mason every time he touched the ball.
Parker would be making layups all day with no bigmen on the court.
Parker ate that team up sides one stretch where that midget did well on him, the rest of the games Tony killed anyone.
manu + hill will destroy that
how can a starting 5 consist of NINE players?
Is this really a thread?
I'd take Hill and Gino. Mason couldn't guard Gino, but I'm not sure Parker could keep Hill from getting to the basket either. Parker's not exactly a lock down defender, although I think his one on one defense is a bit underrated. He's not great, but he's probably a bit better than gets credit for.
Everyone forgets that while Hill's jumpshot wasn't consistent last year, he has a good first step, can into the lane and finish above the rim.
But Gino would eat Mason up alive. Oh, and Gino and Hill could always switch off on Parker. Hill could definitely lock up Mason.
yup,all day and all night!
Just as I thought - NO consensus whatsoever.
there are some interesting points that have been said
manu would be making layups even if there were big men
Perhaps Manu loses a step coming back from this injury.
george hill > parker, mason, ginoboli
no swingman can guard him 1on1 on this team
his that damn good.
Manu/Hill Win easily...... 15-9......
Yup. Hill would do a good job on parker. Ask cp3 and barea about his d. Interesting matchup but my money is on hill and manu
