Any album by KMFDM
i always hear simlar arguments. but at the same token the same thing can be sais for 2pac rap's untouchable star. everyone loves cobain some love to hate. i dont see the big deal in 2pac. why worship this guy.
Fear of a black planet
The best Pac songs, Soulja's Story, Violent, Brenda's Got a Baby, Holler if You Hear Me, I Get Around, Keep Your Head Up, Outlaw, So Many Tears, Straight Ballin, Cradle to the Grave, I Got My Mind Made Up, California Love, Me and My Girlfriend, and Hail Mary, sound nothing alike.
All PE albums up to and including Apocalypse '91 are classics.
I'll still push Grandaddy Sumday.

I don't get it, if all these albums are so good and everyone agrees, then how are they underrated?

Lady GaGa - Starstruck...She is amazing...
I thought about this last night, long and hard while driving home. For the genre I like I think the following are underrated albums. I don't know if I'm using underrated as in: people probably never heard of this album, or the definition of underrated as in it came out everyone said it sucked but it really doesn't. So i did a little of both
awesome album by a band most people haven't heard of
The Best Pearl Jam album, but many people say it's their worst. Those people are wrong
this album maybe doesn't classify as underrated, but I think it's a top 5 album of all time, yet it doesn't have any of the Stones' major hits on it
this album is awesome. Often overlooked when people talk about the 90's. They haven't put out anything of substance since 2001, but this album was awesome (and so was Spiritual Machines)
I don't hate Cobain. I'm actually very fascinated him, especially his last days. But that is the thing; if he were still alive I don't think I would care much about him. Some of Nirvana's songs are really good (Heart Shaped Box is incredible), I just never got into them. I think Unplugged is a great album, not good, but great; everything else was good and turned into 'great' when he died. Know what I'm saying? I just think that without Kurt's death they wouldn't have stood the test of time like Pearl Jam did. People already started to migrate towards Pearl Jam from Nirvana in 94, then Kurt died and Nirvana became legendary. I guess that is what death does (look at Michael Jackson), but legendary bands hardly ever get the chance to stand the test of time becuase death is what usually makes them legendary
That is one of my favorite albums. It's a perfect example of, "Is it 'underrated' or just 'unknown'?"
same thing with pac. LL went to obscurity, diddy didnt do either. yes death helps but when the death gets as close to a reaction as lennon did he must have been a big deal and i doubt people would have defected for pearl jam.
well Pearl Jam Vs. was out selling Nirvana in 1994, then Kurt died and all of a sudden Nirvana was spoken about as the bests and creators of the genre- which in fact both are false. I don't know if Pearl Jam is the best, but they stood the test of time and have shown they can last- and Nirvana didn't create grunge, they were just the firsts to get on the radio
Luv it.
Still my favorite PE album.
