Your 2009/2010 Pacific Division Runner Up Will be?
Phx, they will easily win 50+ games under their old system
I don't know if I've ever been less interested in a basketball question in my life.
The Lakers.
Golden State will win the division.
Seattle Supersonics.
No, wait.....
Devean George will win the championship in Golden State but will only finish second in the Pacific in the regular season because he pities the Lakers.
1) I agree they are 2nd in the Pacific Division
2) You're nuts to say they easily win 50+ games. Yeah, it's the old system, but it's not like running the SSOL automatically gets you 50+ wins. Their roster is way worse than it was during the 2004-2008 timespan, and the league is altogether way better than it was back then.
I will say that as a direct result of Yao Ming's feet and Tracy McGrady's vagina that the Suns are a playoff team again.
I agree, they threw away any shot at rebuilding and contending in the next decade in order to snag the 8 seed this year so Andrew Bynum finally gets the playoff match up against the soft interior defense he needs to get his confidence where it needs to be.......glad to see the Suns are still doing favors for other teams.
the danger for the Suns is that if you're winning 45 games every year without cap space, how can you realistically get better? It's basically getting on a treadmill. You're not drafting high, you can't sign a real impact player. You are limited to drafting in the middle of the first round and trades.
However, in this economy, financial considerations are paramount, and they need to keep season ticket renewals up. From Sarver's perspective, there can be no rebuilding if the team isn't financially viable.
phx wont win 50+ games because they got no Marion and Nash aint good like he was back then...
Dawgs, I wish I had league pass for this year. I'd be sure to watch every Warrior game.
edit: not all of them, I forgot Breath now plays there.
