Wow, you know EIGHT people with PS3's?
I know about 8 people with a PS3 and only 1 of them uses it as a serious gaming platform. The rest use it as a Blu Ray player.
/anecdotal comment.
Wow, you know EIGHT people with PS3's?
I have the Xbox, it does what I need but I wish I had enough money for both....but damn that IS a funny picture
Why don't all of you just get a good PC with a sick graphics card??? So many more bomb-ass games(especially turn-based strategy). I've even got NBA 2K9 for my PC and the graphics blow anything on a tired-ass console out of the water(granted you need an excellent monitor and the aforementioned graphics card). My card is a GTX-285 over-clocked. Processor is core I-7 w/ 4 gigs RAM. All your little consoles have nothing on any of that(cept' price) and I can get most games for free unless I want multiplayer or I like the developer. That quickly brings the price comparison back into play. Bottom line...All consoles are WACK!
I sold my PS3, you'd probably do the same after you played the handful (or less) of games that you like that are exclusive to that system.
LOL Microsoft having to cut down the 360's price because of the PS3 domination![]()
You know, I thought about this a lot and I realized something.
You're a Mavs fan. No wonder you think second place is the same thing as actually winning.
Carry on.
weak.
he likes the 360.
you don't. and you sound like just as big a fan boy as the ones you hate.
Of course he is. But at least he has a defense mechanism in which he accuses every one else of being one.
lol bringing up basketball teams when running out of things to say.
What a got.

I don't understand how people can seriously game on the ps3. I had one and was so happy once I got it out of my hands. It was great for the Internet and people who had blu-ray(I was too cheap) The online was just so terrible. By the time they fixed the in game XMB, I already had a 360 and started buying games on it.
It's an alright system, but if you already have a 360 there's almost no reason to own one, maybe borrow one or something.
If you don't have anything it's not a bad system by any means. I was also too cheap to buy Blu-Rays since I already had my 360 with a 750GB media drive.
After I sold my PS3 I bought a laptop with Blu-Ray so I'm not missing the PS3 at all.
Hey TimVP, what do you have?
I don't attack the 360. I have openly stated I think it's a good system. In fact, I have commented, at length, in multiple threads in The Geek Zone detailing the pros and cons of each system, and how they both are pretty excellent gaming machines in their own right. However, when 360 fans decide to attack the Ps3, sure I'm going to troll them. Their reactions are hilarious.
Case in point.
Brilliant comeback. Way to fit right into the stereotype of 360 fanboys.
You're right. 4 is a really good number.lol 4-1

I don't see how anyone can seriously game on a console.
+1
Except for sports/fighting games.
I've heard Sony Reps saying that the PS3 life cycle is supposed to be about 10 years...hopefully the library will pick up...but I'm unsure if that's just spin.
lol, from my iGoogle page 3 minutes ago...

That's usually how many times the Mavericks beat the Spurs in a playoff series.
It's the number of times the Lakers beat the Spurs this decade, brah.
Too bad they can't beat anyone else.
It must suck that you're the only team that ever gets beat by the sorry Mavericks.
no it sucks when the team that beats you goes on to succeed in mediocrity it would hurt less to be beat by the best.
4 is also the number of Hall of Famers you had when you got beat by the Pistons too

The PS3 life cycle is probably going to be just a bit longer than whatever the 360's life cycle is.
PS3 probably has another 4-5 years... maybe longer if it actually catches on.
Xbox is probably going to roll out another console within 2 years. It'll most likely be completely integrated and gamertags will carry over... there'd be a huge backlash if achievement points were reset. So it'd be more like an Xbox 2.5 than a completely new system.
