Correct. Different people, culturely, pursue and value different things. I had a fine Indian surgeon a few years back, that I entrusted with my life. I'm pretty sure his son sucked at basketball, but probably had some kick ass SAT scores. Not to say I would run away or scoff at a Dr. of a different race. The ER doc I had was hispanic, and a fine fine doctor. Very reassuring and nailed my diagnosis in short order.

Obviously, once anyone has achieved that place, nothing matters. Race, gender, background, nationality.

We're talking about what gets 'em there and culture plays a big part in that in the big picture. You can't be an ER doc if you don't graduate high school.
These kids, more than not often of color, are trashing their lives before they start, and that's a sad thing AND bad for me, bad for you, bad for America.

Its not an individual race culture. It's an American culture of how each race have to start with different living standards and treatments.

White people in America just had a head start. Thats all it is. Minorities have to start from the bottom rung and work their way up just recently. I would start it around the time when minorities started fighting for their civil rights. Once a family finally get out of their poverty and ghettos, then they'll try to maintain that and are able to put their offsprings in a better position to succeed. That can take generations and its hard. My wife's (African American) side of the family finally have someone to graduate with a Phd. a few years ago. Was it because her family valued "different" things as you so eloquently put it up until a few years ago?

Maybe if whites decided to play fair and spread rights at an earlier time, things would be different right now.

Glad to be of help. Jews have certain values that give them a high degree of success, wouldn't you say. I'm not jewish, but I can certainly admit that. You don't see a lot of Jewish people in prison. But you do see a lot of jewish accountants and doctors. They value education, personal responsibility, and achievement. They have low divorce rates, teenage pregnancy, drug abuse, etc. If it's not culture, then it's genetic. I go 'culture'.

The culture most certainly is. But it's not because of their skin color it just appears that way. It is because of their values.

The racism and white supremacy had been holding their dominate roles on the Americans streets from as early as the independent day of this country, and the long time prejudice upon the minorities cannot be exterminated over 3 or 4 decades. Even in the days as recent as 1960s, it was still pretty common scene that the Black had their own special seats on public vehicles and the toilets usually had 3 rooms each, for Male, Female and color.

Such blatant discrimination has become kind of invisible thanks to the advocates of minority, but the conception still exists in our minds and no can can simply presume the under-ground evil is no longer existing. Racist words can still be heard on the street, in basketball courts, or in some homes when the people are talking about the president. Instead using the appellation of Barack or president Obama, some while people still would like to use the polite word which can also be used on any other people with black skin.

I didn't see anyone being intimidated on that video. I remember white people walking in and out of the polling station and I never read any complaint from any voter reporting any trouble there. I guess they forgot to intimidate actual voters.

When he approached panthers closed ranks. They told people not to come back outside because a black man was going win this election no mater what. I never saw a police complaint. The only white guy I knew who ever said anything about this was not a voter and he never said anything about observing what you described. Unless you have a link to the police report, I can only assume you are making this up

Ok, I saw the video were the guy said he squeezed between the two. Now that could be blocking if they were actually right in front of the door, but when the police get there a white woman says they weren't blocking anybody, and only the guy with the nightstick was asked to leave -- not arrested. If there wasn't enough evidence to make an actual arrest that day, I have a tough time believing federal laws were violated. I'm fine with complaints about the nightstick, but it appears to not actually be illegal since it took a court injunction to stop him from doing it again, and only in one location. If you support a law against carrying a weapon in these places fine, I probably agree -- but does that go against your second amendment beliefs?
