Hornets will be good next year. I can see their lineup getting a lot of 2nd chance points around the rim as Okafor is one of the best o-boarders in the game.
It remains to be seen if the Hornets will be a just a "good team" or actually make a run at the tougher lineups. Right now, I'd put them below Dallas on a very close "third tier".
%of seats sold is the major factor in how the NBA ranks attendence. We are the smallest market in the league and sell out 99% of our seats, which is #8 in the league.
While I don't see us being serious contenders next year, we will be a good, solid playoff team.
ok..then I guess I don't understand this..how does Dallas sell 104.4% of their seats? How is that possible?
He said 8th in attendance. He was wrong.
Thats a damn good question.
BTW Shastafarian, you can't sell seats you don't have. We had a higher % of tickets sold than a lot of great teams, and/or big market teams like Orlando, Houston, San Antonio, Toronto, Miami, Cleveland, Chicago, New York, and Philly. Pretty good for the smallest market in the league, wouldn't you say?
Chris Paul will make Okafor average 6-8 more points a game. Due to easy buckets and dunks.
I could see that..if they gel correctly. CP3 is a great player, no doubt..but his style doesn't transfer over to all players.
It is. I was just supplying the stats. I'm not sure I understand their percentages either. Still trying to figure those out. My first guess was oversells but I'm not so sure that's right.
Maybe suites, but they usually have a set limit per suite. Portland is the other team over 100%. I really have no idea on the over 100% thing.
Hornets will suprise everyone?! How? By winning only 20 games? Or by demanding a new arena to be built for their 2011 le run?
Are they gonna lose a game by 90 points?
son the extra percentage of tickets sold comes from standing room only or from seats sold that are not normally sold online because of a "blocked" view. there are normally at least a couple hundred seats in every venue that are not listed for sale on ticketmaster.com, etc. you have to buy them at the box office the day of the event and they will normally tell you that the seat has some kind of blocked view. these seats are also usually individual seats spread out all over the arena. I'm guessing the "blocked view" comes from handrails or poles, etc.

True... nevertheless Okafors numbers should go up. Paul has extremely good court vision and Okafor should benefit from his passes. 3-5 ppg more is realistic, although I think his FG% will go down a bit.
Or if your sitting right behind BR. That's the least desired seat in the arena!
LOL son if you're sitting anywhere in my section everyone knows its a motha in block party going on in that ... no sober people allowed. god bless
LOLBR did a funny!
