This would be one more reason to want to kick Pop and Finley in the junk for their mutual mancrush.

Although can you imagine....Bruce Vs Manu in the Finals. I think that might make baby jesus cry
This is what I've been saying all this time. It'll come back to bite Pop in the ass, and it should if he doesn't bring him back.

Bowen defending RJ, Manu or Tony. That's sickening!

    I've been saying it.

Bruce Bowen, worst forward in the league. That's why only the scrub teams like the Celtics, Cavs, and Magic want him.

i just dont see a position for him since we are forced to keep finley. RJ is going to be taking major minutes, and we are forced to play finley coz of his opt in... and beyond that hariston is waiting in the wings, i guess there was no space for bowen.

really sucks tho ... felt bowen might have had one last year in him. But then again, Pop played horry 1 year too long.

Bowen with the celtics in his first season, playing 61 games starting 9, 5.9 Pts, 1.3 Ast, 1.4 Stl, 2.9 Trb, .5 Blk. Does anyone think the next tenure in Boston would be better than that? I don't think so. I wouldn't mind him being a player/coach in SA, but I think it is unlikely.

Wherever he goes, he won't be playing enough minutes to have a significant impact. I hope he ends up back in SA as an assistant or retires.

I agree with Kori. Bruce will play for the Spurs or retire. THAT'S IT!!

I don't care who they speculate wants him, I'll only believe it when the ink is dry. Until then, it's all B.S.

Free agent Bruce Bowen will soon decide between joining the Celtics or the Cavaliers, according to Hoopsworld.com.

The Magic had been mentioned as a possible suitor, but have fallen out of the picture, while a return to San Antonio appears "unlikely." The Celtics are "said to be holding off on signing Marquis Daniels" while they ponder adding Bowen, though there's no doubt Daniels gives them greater versatility.]
I was under the impression Daniels was pretty much a done deal, the Celts just needed to find a third team to make the trade happen.

The last thing we need is "crafty veteran" Bruce Bowen "tactics" on Manu's aging ankles.

...if the Celts don't want Daniels and he can be had for the LLE then send him our way. But TBQH, I'm with Bruno on this one...he will be back with the Spurs. It may not be before the season starts, but it will happen at some point.

Meh, Bruce has nothing left in my opinion.
I can't see us regretting this, even with the very high possibility of seeing either of those two teams if we make the finals

Doubtful that Bruce goes anywhere else. If he doesnt end up here i think he becomes a player coach or commentator.

I still think Bowen will retire if he's not playing in S.A.

With the extra offensive firepower we have this year with RJ and Dice, I think Bowen would be more valuable to us than Finley.

Finley is absolute, total dead weight.

Shelden Williams has agreed in principle to a one-year contract with the Boston Celtics, league sources told Yahoo! Sports on Monday.

does this change anything about Bowen going to Celtics?

Say what you want about Finley, but I personally don't mind having another guy around who can hit 40% from 3-point range.
