OK...first off, thinking a team sucking is an opinion...And no..I haven't spent more than a day in Dallas..because I live over 5 hours away from Dallas...but still in Texas. I am a hardcore fan, and was raised that way. And the only people who even put elite and Cowboys in the same sentence are people hating on Dallas, saying they're not elite (like you), or the stupid ESPN people that are trying to hang on to the legacy...like they always will with the Lakers. What you are saying right now is the equivalent of a bandwagoner. You can't be a fan of a team if they don't win every year? You're acting like it's not ok to cheer on your team when they're sucking. Why type of is that? I cheered on the Cowboys when they were 1-15, I cheered on the Cowboys when they were winning Super Bowls, and I'll cheer on the Cowboys till I die. If you want to pick your team based on winning every year, that's fine with me, but I'll stick with my team. And yes..I AM a Longhorns fan. But I always have been. Through winning and sucking.

there are some people who grow up in port lavaca liking the chargers or the dolphins or some like that, it happens, (largely genetic)

they can be true fans just like you can grow up in SA and actually like the cowboys, but youre going to have a hard time convincing people youre not a bandwagoner chode, and other people are just going to think youre lame

just because you were 8 or 9 in 1989 when they went 1-15 doesnt mean that if they had that same record for the last 21 years you would be the same fan you are now
