The '99 championship will never get old, imo. I just hated the design of the championship tshirt, it sucked donkey balls.![]()
they were showing the video for the spurs 1999 championship on NBA TV as well as the 2005 championship video.
that spurs defense on the 1999 team was awesome. no wonder pop has referred to that defense as the best one he had.
NBA TV has also been showing championships from the past 15 years or so. there are lakers championships, the spurs and rockets as well. the mavs also make a guest appearance as the 2nd place team in the heat championship video.

By far my favorite Spurs championship (with 2003 a close second)...
Junkyard Dog was ruthless especially against the Lakers that year...
Also Tim & Sprewell had one heck of a shootout in game 5.
BTW that Knicks squad was all heart, too bad Tim was a matchup nightmare for them..
San Antonio as a city in April-July in 99 was a happy happy time
the memorial day miracle was nice as well and seeing sean play so great knowing what we know now about his kidneys is especially cool.
donkey balls?![]()
Do you still have your '99 tshirt?
no-just the car flags (banners).
I just remember crying like a baby that night....did you?![]()
Seeing Tim and Dave dominate together is damn near goosebump-inducing every time. And in '03, watching Dave jumping up and down like an excited, 7 ft man child, celebrating Kerr's heroics, as well as his final walk to the bench with the 'chip in hand always gets me a little misty-eyed. God, I miss that guy.
How tha are ya, Mr. "lower case"?!?![]()
i was in houston. just kept mocking rocket fans who had insisted that duncan would never be better than brad dougherty.
Who is now part owner of a Nascar team.![]()
that alley oop that tim and david had together was awesome. and elie was fierce.
doing good poonse. and gig em. (by the way-did you ever wind up at UTSA ?)
Don't mention UTSA around here.![]()
Ha! And a hearty "gig 'em" back to you, sir.
And, no, I'm still at UNT. There were some complications getting my junior college transcript to them, and since I was in Mexico at the time of the passing deadline, there was only so much I could do. It ended up working out, though. I'm actually really enjoyin Dallas now, despite the fanbase.
But anyways, "go spurs go". Sorry for the temporary derailment.
Hey Fpoon, nice to see you posting again man.
