How's the new and improved RW looking? Let me guess: All world one practice and the worst WR on the field the next.
Besides a few amazing catches here and there, Roy Williams has looked like this camp. I'm hoping this changes come regular season, though...as are all Cowboys fans.

Just one of those uber-talented guys who never seems to quite get it.

Unfortunately, so far, you're dead on. On a different note, I drafted Pettigrew on my Fantasy team, so I hope he has a great season.

Hurd has been phenomenal from the few camps I've been to. The guy is catching everything...I mean, EVERYTHING. It's amazing. Unfortunately, everything I'm hearing has him fighting for the 3 spot with Austin...

I haven't heard anything about this, but I would love it to be true. head Jerry needs to make this move.
Matt Jones is a terrible WR. Besides his blazing speed and size he doesn't really do anything else really well. Except for cutting up coke. He does that really well.

I think Matt Jones is more proven than Hurd or Austin, I think that's why he's been mentioned or linked to the Cowboys. That and being from Arkansas, Jerry Jones alma mater.

Crayton's already threatening for the number one spot. Austin and Hurd will be competing with Roy for 2 before long.

I'll be heading to camp next week. Anyone have the details about the schedule and if there's any cost?

Whisky -- do you have a source? I'm hearing mixed reviews.

    --PG
ummm, how about you list some sources of these "mixied reviews". Sam Hurd (not Herd, maybe thats why u havent heard anything....) has received high praise from Sherman, Wade, Romo, and Terrence newman all in seperate interviews..... If anything, Sam Cam is the tiest part of his camp....

Scroll down and click on the training camp logo for practice times. Addmission is free but the parking at the dome will cost you a 10 spot and the beer there is 5.75 16oz bottle or 6.00 for 24oz draft. Do like my buddy and i did, and buy a couple tall boys before you go and drink them in the parking lot.

I have gone to everyday of camp so far here in SA and I would rank the recievers in the following order:

    1. Sam Hurd: He looks great out there. Best route runner on the team and he has excellent hands.

    2. Patrick Crayton: He definetly shows that he know the offense better than everyone else.

    3. Miles Austin: He is getting open with ease, but he is dropping to many balls.

    4. Kevin Olgetree: This young receiver is looking great out there. He looks like the best route runner out there and he hasn't dropped a pass.

    5. Roy Williams: He doesn't look as good as he should right now. He is dropping to many passes and I don't think he knows the entire offense yet.

    6. Jesse Holley: On pure talent he looks just as good as any of the receivers out there, but he doesn't know any of the offense at all.

    7. Willie Reed: He is the Fastest reciever out there and he could be a great kick returner.

I don't think any of the other recievers have a shot at making the team including Isaih Stanback who is hurt again of course. I also believe they will only take 5 or 6 of the WRs that I listed. I really hope Olgetree makes the team because he looks great out there. I think Reed and Holley may be the odd men out.
    i confuse

We'll see what happens, I don't think Roy will even put up close to the same numbers as T.O. From what I've read, they're focusing on using all of their weapons now, and using more two tight end sets. I would still love to have T.O. on the team, but it's not going to happen, so we need to make do with what the Cowboys have. If those guys don't live up to expectations during Training Camp, I'm looking for the Cowboys to pick up a veteran through free agency.
With T.O. on the team, the offense wouldn't be able to utilize all the weapons. Once the guy came out crying that Witten and Romo were drawing up secret plays, that was the last straw for me.

He's a tremendous talent, and I think he got a bad rap for dropping balls (as some of the "drops" weren't catchable in the least. However, after a while, you could tell that Romo was forcing balls to T.O. Something had to give, and in the NFL, QBs are king.

T.O.'s personality was starting to wear on the offense by all accounts. The defense was siding with him (as they do on every team) but I suspect it's because the defense isn't in the same huddle as him and aren't on the sideline at the same time for most of the game. So they tend to miss most of his antics as well.

While some fans want to absolve T.O., the thing is, this is the third team that has complained about him tearing the locker room apart. How many times does it have to happen before people start to realize that it really is the player and not the media blowing things out of proportion every single time. He may be targeted unfairly, but the script in Dallas was the same as in Philly and SF.

As for Matt Jones, the Cowboys have come out and said an emphatic NO.

I disagree. Sure there was disagreements, and times where Romo tried to force things to T.O. However, these are issues that can be resolved. You're just not going to get the same numbers from other receivers. The "experts" think that the Cowboys offense won't even come close to what it was with T.O. Again, as I said earlier, give the T.O./Williams tandem one full year to co-exist. If it doesn't work, then you can release T.O. The next year you will have a Roy who has more experience and would be more capable of being a number one guy. Right now, the Cowboys don't really have a receiving corp that scares anyone. It's talented, however, it's very untested. Even if they produce big numbers I will still be against the release of T.O. If Romo was forcing balls to T.O. then that's on Romo, not T.O. T.O. is just made to be the scapegoat. He's being blamed for this team underachieving last year. I'd take T.O. on my team any day. At least I know the production I'll get on the field. He may have issues, but come game day, he produces like almost no other.
