Honestly...No.
<<<<<LeBron in NY
At an event to unveil his latest signature sneaker for Nike, James, who has given no indication he plans to leave the Cavs, made his strongest comments yet about his future. The NBA's reigning MVP said he signed a three-year contract in 2006 with an option so he would have more flexibility once it expires.
"I signed a contract in 2006 with an option," he said. "It would make no sense for me to sign that contract if I didn't keep my options open. I'll let you fill in the blanks."
The Cavaliers offered James a contract extension last month. The 24-year-old said his agent, Leon Rose, and Cavs general manager Danny Ferry have had "a great conversation."
James doesn't expect his future to be a distraction for the Cavs, who acquired All-Star center Shaquille O'Neal this offseason.

why not?
no ....
apparently ariza wanted a starting role, I cant confirm it because I read it in one of the other threads ...
Yeah, Cleveland wouldn't guarantee Ariza would start at the 2.
All the talk of NY but NJ isn't out of the picture yet. They have the most cap space. If they can make and offer to both LeBron and Bosh they may take it. The Brooklyn move is only a year later.
Nuh-uh. NY can't be trusted for to make a good franchise decision.
I say Mike Brown loses his job this year when they dont win a championship. They bring in a vet coach to try to get them over the hump...and they wont... and a couple years from now when he still doesnt have a ring Lebron will finally leave.
Shaq will never play in San Antonio. He flat-out said it during an interview on a SA newscast. Shaq will always hate SA for embracing David Robinson and not him.
The knicks n nets just ing suck... and theyre nowhere CLOSE to championship level and i dont see a whole lot changing with them in the next year. In terms of money, Cleveland can offer him just as much, so really, why the would he leave? It seems illogical to me...
Plus its cool how hes from there and he plays for his local team... Thats definetely something to keep in mind!
The Cavs minus LeBron is about on par with what the Knicks will have even if they don't bring David Lee back. Then they're also going to have $17 million in the expiring contracts of Eddie Curry and Jared Jeffries to pull their own Gasol trade for 2010-11. LeBron's paycheck will go through the roof with the endorsements he'll get in New York. If they let Lee walk or he's forced to sign a one-year deal they'll still have cap space to most likely land one of Wade, Bosh, Stoudemire, Joe Johnson, Boozer, Nowitzki, Josh Howard, Ginobili, Okur, etc. in addition.
After what Cleveland did to bring all this talent to the Cavs, if LeBron left he would be the biggest in the league imo.
All what talent? Their bigman options are going to be either resign a 38 year-old Shaq, a 35 year-old Ilgauskas, or blow their MLE and not ugrade their horrible SG situation. Mo Williams and Varejao are going to be LeBron's two best teammates.
If you compare the team from its Finals run to the team they have now, the Cavs front office has added alot more talent
All that talent is concentrated in their one-year rental of Shaq though. Moon and Parker are dime a dozen bench players.
varejao is pretty good buddies with lebron, you think the FO is listenin to lebron? Or is the FO really that stupid? oh and Mike brown sucks as a coach. Again I dunno if lebron is calling the shots or Mike Brown is that stupid.
I have my doubts on Jersey. They haven't been able to get anything done on the stadium and the move to Brooklyn, and aren't they hemorrhaging money at the Meadowlands?
yeah give me Eric Snow, Donyell Marshall, Damon Jones, have Gibson or Sasha Pavs start, have Hughes as the 2nd option on offense.
Mo, Delonte, Shaq + good bench players in Moon and Parker.
Lakaluva don't let your hate for LeBron consume you. Ariza is not a 2 guard. LeBron is trying to become more of an off-ball threat. Ariza would have been a 6th man getting time at SF when LeBron was off the court or when the Cavs would go small. SG would have only been played in spurts. Ariza also wouldn't have ssen the floor in crunch time.
The Nets wouldn't be a bad option if Bosh agrees to sign there along with LeBron.
A Starting unit of:
C: Brook Lopez
PF: Chris Bosh
SF: LeBron James
SG: Courtney Lee
PG: Devin Harris
It'll be a solid starting unit, they just need to add more depth on the bench.
The Knicks will be offering James everything from the GM position, be the playing coach and all that except quality teammates.
It still looks like a long ways away. They still have to condemn the homes in the area, go through all the lawsuits, tear them down, clear the site, then actually build the thing. Ratner's a pretty rich guy, but he's likely going to be taking huge losses on the Nets the next 3 years or so while they're stuck at the Meadowlands.
Tim Duncan did the same.
Bosh didn't re-sign. Wade didnt re-sign. Amar'e didn't re-sign. So are they all going to leave in 2010?
Solid? That's would arguably be the best starting lineup in the NBA.
